Jailani Tala: Persepsi masyarakat Negeri Seith terhadap Suku Buton yang
berdomisili di Negeri Seith, Kecamatan Leihitu, Kabupaten Maluku Tengah.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk

mengetahui bagaimana persepsi masyarakat Negeri Seith terhadap Suku Buton
yang berdomisili di Negeri Seith, Kecamatan Leihitu, Kabupaten Maluku Tengah.

Penelitian ini dilaksanaan di Negeri Seith, Kecamatan Leihitu, Kabupaten Maluku

Tengah, Maluku. Pengambilan data primer dilakukan melalui wawancara
terhadap sejumlah informan yang dianggap penting.

Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa interaksi sosial secara baik dilakukan

dengan masyarakat maupun Pemerintah Negeri Seith. Masyarakat Suku Buton
senantiasa hidup berdampingan dengan penduduk Negeri Seith, dan mereka
menyadari diri sebagai pendatang yang hidup bersama dengan Masyarakat Seith
yang merupakan penduduk asli. Interaksi ini tergolong sangat harmoni karena
mereka bisa bekerja sama dan saling tolong-menolong dalam mencukupi
berbagai kebutuhan. Selama berada di Negeri Seith, Masyarakat Suku Buton
dan Masyarakat Negeri Seith memiliki hubungan persahabatan dan
kekeluargaan. Hubungan sosial ini tampak melalui kerjasama atau partisipasi
antara masyarakat Suku Buton dan masyarakat Negeri Seith dalam
pembangunan. Terdapat saling menghargai yang satu terhadap yang lain,
terhadap tradisi, adat- istiadat, dan kebudayaan.

 ABSTRACT

Jailani Tala: The perception of Negeri Seith Community towards the Buton Tribe
who live in Negeri Seith, Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency. Supervised by

This research is a qualitative descriptive study which aims to find out about the
community perception of Negeri Seith toward the Buton Tribe who live in Negeri
Seith, Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency.

The research was conducted in Negeri Seith, Leihitu District, Central Maluku
Regency, Maluku. Primary data collection was carried out through interviews with
a number of informants who were considered important.

The results showed that good social interaction was done by the Buton tribe
community with the Negeri Seith Government. The Butonese people always live
side by side with the people of Negeri Seith, and they realize themselves as
migrants who live together with the Seith Community who are the local people.
This interaction is very harmonious because they work together and help each
other in fulfilling their daily needs. In Negeri Seith, the Butonese people make a
good friendship and kinship with the Seith Community. This social relationship is
seen through cooperation or participation between the Butonese and the Negeri
Seith community in development. There is mutual respect for each other, as well
as for traditions, customs and culture.
