Founder’s Day Banquet, Saturday, 19 March 2011
Dear West Point Supporter:

Our annual Founder’s Day Banquet, celebrating the 209th anniversary of the establishment of the United States Military
Academy, will be held at the Union League, 140 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102, (215) 405-9578. Cocktails will
begin at 1800 hours and Dinner at 1900 hours. Graduates, associates, family and friends are invited to join us and to celebrate
the Academy’s birthday. We need your support and participation to ensure the success of this event.

Our keynote Speaker, and recipient of the GEN Alexander M. Haig, Jr., Guardian of Liberty Award will be GEN (Ret)
Frederick M. Franks, Jr., ’59. GEN Franks commanded armor and cavalry forces in Vietnam, receiving the Silver Star, BSMv,
DFC, Air Medal and 2 Purple Hearts. He commanded VII Corps during Operation Desert Shield / Desert Storm and retired as
Commander of the Army’s Training and Doctrine Command. He is currently a Chairperson for the military’s Wounded
Warrior Project. He is a distinguished son of Pennsylvania, who has served God, Family and the Nation with selfless
dedication, profound wisdom; and quiet modesty.

Cadets: Full Dress / Mess Dress w/Decorations (Cadets welcome as Guests of the Society).
