God’s Wisdom & Enduring Strength

Leader:
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials
of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith
produces perseverance.

Congregation:
God will help us in learning to endure that we will be complete,
mature and not lacking in any area.

Leader:
If any of you need wisdom, you should ask God, and it will be given to
you. God is generous and won't correct you for asking. But when you
ask for something, you must have faith and not doubt.

Congregation:
We will ask in faith, not doubting God, who will give generously to us
without finding fault or criticizing us.

Leader:
But when you ask for something, you must have faith and not doubt.
Anyone who doubts is like an ocean wave tossed around in a storm.
If you are that kind of person, you can't make up your mind, and you
surely can't be trusted.

Congregation:
We will not be double-minded but stand strong in our faith unflinching,
as we trust God for all our needs.

Leader:
Any of God's people who are poor should be glad that he thinks so
highly of them. But any who are rich should be glad when God makes
them humble.
Congregation:
We will esteem others more than ourselves as this will meet God’s
approval, and our loyalty to Him will be honored.
Leader:
God will bless you, if you don't give up when your faith is being
tested. He will reward you with a glorious life, just as he rewards
everyone who loves him. Don't blame God when you are tempted!
God cannot be tempted by evil, and he doesn't use evil to tempt
others.
Congregation:
We will not blame God when we are tempted. Our own desires drag
us down and trap us. We will choose to meet the challenges of today
and trust God for victory.
Leader:
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the
Father of the heavenly lights. He chose to give us birth through the
word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of his creation.
Congregation:
Every good action, and every perfect gift we receive comes from
God; He gave us light through His Word.
All:
Let us not get off course, but keep every desire under His control,
living our life pleasing and in accordance to God’s Word.
