Overview of Focus Groups:
• Multiple invitations in various formats
• 15 sessions – 90 minutes each
• About 100 expressed interest, 80+% participation rate
• Comments collected and compiled
• Big Ideas:
• Choice is important
• Maintain commitment to existing “choice” students
• Grandfathering for current HRM & PPM
• Feeder schools important
• Limit changes mid-grade band
• Modified choice options have greater longevity
• Express Bus should continue
• Keep schools equitable – size & opportunities
