REAPER
Marine candidates who remain
unmanageable after neural
resocialization are sent to be
trained as Reapers. These
troops are chemically altered to
heighten their aggression even
further, and then they are
instructed in close-quarters
combat and the use of Jet
Packs. These grant Reapers a high degree of mobility,
allowing them to traverse obstacles easily and cover
ground rapidly. In combat, Reapers attack with rapid-fire
dual Gauss Pistols and dangerously unstable D-8
Charges. Reapers are guaranteed their freedom after
two years of service, but none has survived for more
than six months.

Place your Overlords around your base. Be sure to have vision on all
potential access routes.
Spawn Roaches and burrow a few behind the mineral line.
Reapers cannot attack air targets; get a few Mutalisks to deal with them.
While on creep, Zerglings with speed upgrades and Hydralisks can fend off
Reapers.
VS Protoss

are vulnerable to enemy Reaper incursions.

@ThePreator: me me me!!!
its really sad my favorite unit is dead. Blizzard please buff the reaper don't scrap them they are the most bad ass unit you guys have
created.
I saw some one mass these like 150 of them and run into my siege line i was laughing so hard i almost died
I think people sometimes forget these guys can go into medivacs. They're not a bad drop unit.
actually reapers=structure destruction. Really early reapers really isnt a bad idea since they are jumpers. Reaper scoot and shoot xD
After the patch, it should read: Nobody really cares about Reapers anymore.
@NoisyNinja: Correction-After the patch, it should read: Now, noobs care even less about Reapers or anything that doesn't
involve massing.
After the patch, in the description it should read " no reaper has survived longer than a few hours"
At the very least they could fly higher than 3 feet above the ground. They also take more time to train than ghosts and helions (fail)
@thebigone: This is for all u noobs that belive certain tacs are gay.
why is cannon rushing void rays mutas or bansees and other tacs gay or cheap?. how the !@#$ are the rest of us suppost
to win? zergling rush? ''NO THATS GAY! only noobs do that!'' so next time u get your but kicked by a zergling rush stop to
think. who is the noob? the person that lost to a zergling rush or the person that won because of that ling rush?
@Cavyking: Both. Play the game correctly and everyone has more fun.
Got to be the most useless unit ever... sure it scales cliffs but only to econ rush lol then what...
@Lewis: Drawing attention, harassment, scouting, and generally attacking positions that would otherwise be perfect.
@Lewis: The D-8 charge is alright-too bad they don't have clusterbomb upgrade in regular matches-at least you could use
what the hell is up with the nitro packs being required by the Factory?
@bubble: Makes sense to me. They are kind of connected to heavy machinery.
reapers are great harass unit. i try to keep a band of 6 ready to catch scvs off guard. but do get the speed upgrade they are useless
without it
Good unit, but fragile and takes an eternity to build. Frankly the time is better spent making marines.
Yay Reapers. A light raiding unit that had its build time increased and its speed upgrade pushed back... Well, hm. They don't sound like a
There's something ironic in that. But as I was saying, my favorite unit is dead. Not because they we're so much fun to use, but because
reapers are dead now....they need to allow us to build reapers before a supply depot and to get nitro packs before the factory...this
would bring them back...they were never a truly destructive force....they are very easy to kill
the grand reaper has arived because you cant get it cheaper call it
reaper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i would love it if they had the charges in story mode on the online matches.
@hyperfenix: ya that would bring the reaper back to life because nobody uses them anymore
@hyperfenix: yes! that would be kick ass, but that would decimate mineral lines so quickly, just 3 or 4 of these babies
Why cant they attack air i mean they have a JET PACK!!!
@WPNMAN: puhaha i know, they fly, but they cant attack air unit -_-
@WPNMAN: LOL!!!
@WPNMAN: You try shooting a spaceship with a pistol while flying around on a nitro jetpack! Give the poor men a break,
Terran tier comparisons #3: Since protoss don't have tier 2 anti-light, you can really only compare Reapers to Banelings in countering.
Reapers are very effective in fighting light units, just like Banelings, but they don't deal extreme splash damage. To make up for that,
they can jump up and down cliffs and are not suicide units. Unfortunately, something reapers lack that banelings don't lack is anti-armor
capability. Banelings deal 20 damage to armored units with their life, and if the target has 1 armor, that is deducted from 20. But
Reapers deal 4 damage to non-light units, attacking twice, and 1 life armor would mean dealing 3 damage twice, therefore loses the 2
damage they could have dealt. Keep in mind, since their attribute bonus is more than their base damage, that makes them a very
extreme unit, so they may kicked light units' @ss, they fail against armored units. Banelings, however, aren't extreme units, so they
