NYDUS WORM
The Nydus Worm is an evolution
of the Zerg Nydus Canal, a
subterranean organic structure
that interlinked areas covered by
creep. Nydus Worms live inside a
nest-like structure called the
Nydus Network. A Nydus Worm
can travel from the Network to
any nearby location that is
covered by creep before emerging, in the process
creating a tunnel beneath the battlefield. This huge
creature is capable of stretching itself out to prodigious
lengths to support the tunnel with its own skin and ribs.
Zerg warriors can enter the tunnel via either the Worm’s
head or the Nydus Network, and they can travel through
the Worm at great speed due to a combination of
peristaltic motion and chemical stimulants that direct their
movements. When combined with the creep-spreading
tactics of Queens and Overlords, Nydus Worms pose a
grave threat to areas previously thought to be secure.

I like to have fun with my oponent by just poping nydas all around the map. it was funny. poor guy. i later killed him with broodlords
and he had tanks hellions and rines patroling his base plus sen towers and MTs
"A Nydus Worm can travel from the Network to any nearby location that is covered by creep before emerging..." Is this just a mistake?
Cuz I'm pretty sure that u don't need creep near the location of where the worm emerges. Can anyone answer this? cuz maybe i have a
glitch
These Worms get annoying in All In and Utter Darkness due to swarmlings.
@natch: The teeth could just be for tunneling, but i see your point
Nydus Worm 100 100 - 20 Increases the starting energy of Infestors by 25. 200 - 1
so how long has it been since Bliz checked this page, or am I the only one seeing this? that it still says must be built on creep in the
description, and that it is apearently produced by the infester's pathogen glands, by the nydus network hotkey.
ha looks so funny
only times I ever see these is in campaign. no one ever uses them.
@Hakutsuru: actually i disagree. Ive seen people who have their team mates scan the other base, then make a nydus worm
All your base are belong to us!!!11!!1! I'm in your base killing your doodz. Umadbro?
Soo, remove the teeth on this thing and that moving picture just looks WAY to wrong..........
@NightinJail: Didn't they make a movie about something like that >>!
So heres my question. Im playing on scrap yard station. You know, the space map with the two really close bases with the island in
between? Anyways, I was brotoss and the zerg player pops a nydus worm in the back of my island expo, despite the fact that it is
completely separate from the rest of the map. how did the worm get through space to my island? Thers no ground for it to burrow
through!
@Destructor: Magic? Maybe it's hanging but your not allowed to see it.
@Destructor: well, the worm could just "jump" the gap and pop up on the other side. It just doesn't show it. If the zerg
were real, the worm would also cause large holes and chasms in the earth...
@Destructor: lol good point, but nydus worms were meant to transport ur units everywhere so i guess sc really has no logic
tarrians and zerg vs whatever. tarran scans pop a nyda in the scan boom instant death
@Cavyking: Yeah Nydus Worms are OP due to the fact that they omnomnom for 10000000 damage an attack.
a nydrus worm's roar- the only known thing to cause as much fear as detecting a nuke
@Squidmaster: I KNOW
Fill two of them full of Banelings, launch them behind your enemy's base and prepare for GAME OVER to appear on your scream 2 min
later.
@ConradOrvile: and don't forget to bring Hydras for back up for air attacks and so on and so forth.
@ConradOrvile: Do you know how long it takes to fill two full nydus worms? I believe there would be no room for hydras.
@GhandiEAGLE: nydus worms don't have a limit to what they can hold. But they'll only unload one at a time, says right in
the description.
@Molts: wrong they hold like 350 zerglings and the run out of space i tested it out
i love using these boys to pop up near the enemy base and then roach them down and if its terran and they start flying i just use an
overloard to fly after them so i still have visual and just pop anotherone once they land or take em down with mutas
what's the point of this thing having teeth? doesn't that just make it harder to enter and exit it?
