UNITS
BROOD LORD
These massive manta-like flying
creatures serve as aerial siege units
for the Swarm. Only seen in the
largest of conflicts, the Brood Lord
has the ability to spit out biological
symbiotes that function as living
ammunition. These regurgitated
creatures focus on their target,
ravaging it until they destroy it or die
in the attempt. This attack makes Brood Lords extremely
dangerous to opposing installations. However, despite their
impressive offensive abilities, Brood Lords are not very
durable, and they make easy targets for most aerial-strike
combatants.

GENERAL STRATEGY
WEAK AGAINST
COUNTERMEASURES
VS Terran
Build Vikings to efficiently take down Brood Lords without any retaliation.
Battlecruisers are also effective against Brood Lords and can destroy them
numbers of Broodlings. Take Brood Lords out instantly using ghosts and
their snipe ability to prevent this.
VS Zerg
Anti-air flying units like Corruptors can engage Brood Lords and pursue
them throughout an area effortlessly without any fear of being targeted in
return.
Anti-air ground units such as Hydralisks, though obviously less ideal than
flying units, can provide a defense against Brood Lords when massed.
VS Protoss
Brood Lords can be handily dispatched by air units that they can’t reach,
such as Carriers, Phoenixes, and especially Void Rays – the Rays’ ’Prismatic

how come there's always a Terran unit that can one-shot the best Zerg unit? anyway, brrod lord own AA turrets because they attack
from out of range. just give then a corrupter escort and say goodbye to cheapo massed marines.
Using Brood Lords take to much control example: A corruptor has taken up 2 control but when morphing into a Brood Lord they not only
become massive but also taken an extra 4 therefore the control becomes from 2 to 4. Their massive size also makes them a big target
and any unit that got an attack that does bonus damage to MASSIVE means the Brood Lord needs even more protection from anything
@Cavyking: Making Brood lords cost more supply like Corruptors take up two supply but morphing them will make them
take 4 supply. Therefore it equals 6 supply taken due to all massive units in the game takes 6 supply, control and of course
Psi.
they are the biggest whel 2'd biggest unit of all exept the colossus or should i say dady long legs of geting eaten by brood lords and
everything exept missle turrets and they can take down those infact i am going to be zerg
is it alive
@Hakutsuru: No because brood lords do the same damage and brood lords spawn broodlings.
These are the only real reason I chose the AA mission on Char. I do hate nydus worms, but these little buggers do not fit into my
strategy whatsoever.
Anyway, I just didn't want to deal with Leviathin AND Kerrigan, myself. I think we've all had enough terrible, terrible
Why does it say this unit is good against AA units? no really though, you do not use these guys against anything that can shoot up.
Especially stalkers.
@BudMeister: They have really long range. Shoot them first and they're too busy with the broodlings to retaliate.
@BudMeister: also, if you use them in the back of the enemies base or, say, in the back of your army as support, they'll be
isnt that is the most cuties thing youve ever seen(besides me)
I haven't played Zerg very much, so I'm a bit confused about the damage of this unit. Does it do 20 damage when the broodling hit the
target, and then some extra damage as the broodlings attack? Or do the broodling do 20 damage before they die?
@Anewbis: 20 then broodling tries to do a little more. they are great anti ground units
i liked the guardian(which looks exactly like this) and the devourer(zerg tier 3 anti air[they dont have tier three anti air anymore]) better
@Fergilicious: the new anti air unit is the corrupter, i think that they are waaaay better than the devourer. mostly because
they can morph into brood lords and they are a lot tougher and deal a lot more DPS
@Dragar:They used to have a unit that did that called the scourge from SC1 and the campaign. But of course they started "Balancing The
Races"
@Morpheus: balance the races by taking away the zerg massive "ship" by taking away its anti-air, while all other massive
"ships" have anti air and anti ground. YUP, seems fair to me!, if you do the math, if broodlings did fly, 1v1, a carrier or
battle cruiser would still win against a brood lord. it still follows the general P>T>Z rule, so it would still be balanced.
i like.
@nerdyindeed: they could be more like the carrier if they could have a separate attack for air units. how do "broodWings"
sound?
@Masada: when massed? That defeats the purpose of a counter. If everything in the game was only effective when massed
