Week 1 Date: 17 – 22 January 2011

1. Issues/Problem

a.Class control
My first day teaching the 2 Jauhari is quite difficult to control big class with enrollment
of the pupils are 42 pupils. They are very noisy in class and cant hardly focus in
class.The class enviroment is not very condusive enough for teaching. Their level of
English is average but still can understand simple English instructions in class.

b.Bad attitude of pupils

This issue is very common when teaching in class because my pupils are just year 2
student so they are lack of focus and maturity is not very good when in classroom.
They like to play around in class eventhough the teacher is in front of them.Some of
them dont do the worksheet given by me.

2.Analysis

I have done some analysis of my pupils attitude and behaviour in class. They are
weak in English language but some of them are excellent in that language.Some of
them understood the language but cant respond when I gave a question. The
interference of the ‘Mother Tongue’ language is the biggest problem. The pupils
language background is not English speaker in their daily conversations.

The bad attitude of the pupils i had figure out some method to make them more focus
in class. I inculcates moral values in the lesson plan and at the end of the class i
gave comments to the whole class so that after that they will improve their attitude in
class.I make sure the pupils do the worksheet and pass up their books everytime I
finished the class so that they will do the worksheet

3.Suggestion to Improve

a.Translation method

This method is the traditional method when teaching foreign language so that the
pupils can understand the language and learn the language by doing the translation
over and over again.They must get use of the language itself so that they can learn
the language.

b.Reflection of the pupils after finish the lesson

After, I finish the class I’ll ask them do they been good in class when I taught
them.The pupils will self reflect what they done when I taught them during
lesson.This method is like using ‘reverse psychology’. I told them that they are very
good and make very good noisy enviroment in class.

4. Pre-evalution

The pupils have learnt the lesson and they will not repeat the bad attitude in the next
lesson. They are just kids and lack of focus beacause they are still children age . I
also seek some advice from my guidance teacher about the issue and problem
occured . He advise me to be more firm with the pupils and use big voice so that they
will pay attention in classroom.

5.Follow-up actions

I had overcome some issue and problem but not all the pupils followed. Next week I
will make they be more pay attention in class and dont play around in class. I have to
become firm and strict with the pupils so that they will learn the English language
more seriously.

Week 2 Date: 24 - 28 January 2011

1. Issues/Problem

a. Pupil Focus In Class

My pupils still play around in class and they dont listen to my instruction and
lesson.The enrollment of the class are too big with 42 pupils.

b.Class Is Not Very Participative In Activities.

Some of the pupils have problem to understand my instruction in class because their
language compentency is average.

c.Cant Finish The Lesson In Allocated Time

I have problem to finish the lesson in time because the activity that i had conducted
sometime overun and I forgot to inculcates moral values in the lesson.

2.Analysis

I have done some analysis of my pupils why the problem and the issue occured
because maybe the set induction of my lesson is not attaractive enough and they
need more challenging and interesting activity in class. I had practiced my lesson
plan before coming into the class teaching the pupils.

I also plan my lesson plan with more specific time allocated when conducting the
lesson in the class.I will make sure I follow the time allocated when teaching the
pupils in classroom.I try to make my lesson plan more systematic when teaching the
pupils.

3.Suggestion to Improve

a.Find More Suitable Activity To Be Conduct In Class.

I seeked the suitable activity in the internet so that the pupils will participate in the
activity. I also diccused the lesson plan with my guide teacher before coming to the
classroom.

b.Motivate The Pupils

I discovered that if a teacher motivate them they will do well in class.I praise them
and ask them to clap their hands if they answered my question correct.I think the
pupils needed the motivational method so they feel more enjoy in class.

4. Pre-evalution

I have conducted some of activities with the pupils and able to finish the lesson in
time allocated.

The pupils have learnt the lesson and they will not repeat the bad attitude in the next

a. Finding Suitable Teaching Aids

I need to find suitable teaching aid because enrollment of the class is too big with 42
pupils.With big size of class its hard to get their attention and focus in class.

b.Class Control.
They pupils seem to make noise and playing around in class.Some of the pupils have
problem to understand my instruction in class because their language compentency
is average.

being problematic so i need to have a pet talk with few of problematic pupils.
