Medical personnel treated the inmate on the scene before transporting him to Warren Memorial Hospital. He was
later transferred to the Winchester Medical Center where he was admitted to the intensive care unit. There was
no indication that he would harm himself when the previous jailor made a round at 11:20 p.m. Staff notified Brill’s
family of the incident soon after it occurred.
