To meet the technical challenges in the construction industry, offering effective,

innovative and cost effective solutions using state of the art technology, whilst
developing long term relationships with our stakeholders.
WHO we ARE

Our Progress

Geotechnical & Laboratory Services Division was launched to fulfill a void in diverse
Investigation and Quality Assurance of the Construction Industry in Sri Lanka. From its
modest beginnings, this division has grown and diversified its operations expanding
its operations exponentially.

The Aluthgama Water Supply Project could be termed as the first assignment
undertaken by this Division Team. The Division undertook Quality Control and Quality
Assurance works of the Dialog Optical Fiber Network, which helped to place us at the
forefront of the Investigation and Quality Assurance Sector of the civil construction
Industry in Sri Lanka.

We take pride in the introduction of modern technologically advanced equipment

to the Investigation and Quality Assurance Sector. Our Staff is competent in handling
quality assurance and technical challenges and providing viable technical solutions
to meet each customer’s individual requirements. CLSM (Controlled Low Strength
Material) is one such solution provided by us for utility trench refilling (Undertaken
for the first time in Sri Lanka)

Our Facilities

Our areas of expertise include Geotechnical Investigations, Laboratory Services,

Surveying & Levelling and creating drawings. We use state of the art equipment to
carry out operations with speed and efficiency. We also have in-house expertise to
perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control Services for Road construction, Bridges,
Flyovers and Water Supply Projects. In addition, we also boast of extensive laboratory
facilities with laboratory experts who are dedicated for providing the best services to
our extensive clientele.

Our Team
The Geo Lab and Survey Division maintain a technically strong team of professionals.
Team members include Material Engineers, QA & AC Engineers, Lab Technicians as well
as Surveyors, with knowledge and expertise pertaining to the Geotechnical field. Our
highly motivated and dedicated staff is qualified to provide an efficient service to our
clients.

The Division is equipped with modern apparatus, which need to run Quality Control
on any building, highway or other construction project. We take pride in being the first
to introduce the latest equipment to the industry such as Hydrogen Leak Detectors
and Ground Penetration Radar Systems.

At present we are practicing ISO 9001:2008 & ISO 14001:2004.

We are also in the process of obtaining accreditations from Sri Lanka Accreditation
Board to ISO 17025.

Nuclear moisture density gauge – (4 nos.) to determine

the compaction parameters (Insitu density, Moisture
content and hence the Degree of compaction as a
direct readout using the pre-fed MDD in a very short
period of time.)

Hydrogen Leak Detector – To detect leaks in any pipe

network, whether buried utility or HVAC.

(Used in Sri Lanka solely by Access Engineering Ltd.)

Ground Penetrating Radar – To detect underground

utilities upto 20 feets in normal ground conditions.

(Used in Sri Lanka solely by Access Engineering Ltd.)

Underground Cable Detector – To locate energised

underground cables and nonenergised cables, or any
current conducting pipes using the signal generator.
Can estimate the depth of the utility also.
