Jumpers
In the center of the RS232 to Eaton Leonard (CB-EL1) interface are four jumpers used to
configure the board for use in either a Measuring Center (MC) or Bender (BND). All four
jumpers must be moved into either the MC or BND column to configure the board.
(Note that when the board is configured for Measuring Center (MC) and is not connected
to a Bender via the EL interface, the RX LED will remain lit.)
Loopback Test
Using a loopback adapter and a special configuration of the jumpers, the full function of
the send and receive circuits in RS232 to Eaton Leonard (CB-EL1) interface can be
validated. Perform the following steps:

RoHS Compliance
Except on boards specifically marked, all components and materials used in the RS232
to Eaton Leonard Interface (CB-EL1) comply with European Union directive 2002/95/EC,
also known as the RoHS Directive.
The RoHS compliance of the components used is based upon evidence from the
distributors and manufacturers of the individual components who have indicated that the
part numbers are in compliance with the RoHS Directive. Reasonable steps have been
taken to confirm distributors’ and manufacturers statements regarding the absence of
the restricted substances in order to support the claim of compliance.
