Chief Technology Officer

Job Description

Summary
Responsive Education Solutions (“ResponsiveEd”) is seeking a Chief Technology Officer
who will be responsible for systems development, telecommunications, applied technology,
technical services, data center operations, office services and strategic planning companywide
and business decisions involving information technology. This includes the assessment and
application of existing and new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness,
development and vetting of preferred technology vendors, contract negotiations and
performance monitoring for Corporate and Campus staff.

Requirements
The typical duties of this position will include (but are not limited to) the following:
leadership and teamwork development
strong communication skills including the ability to articulate the technology vision
at senior business levels
ability to analyze complex technical options and present clear, concise and
financially justified recommendations to senior management
technical governance and vision
business strategy and strategic planning
budget control
identify and evaluate technologies and processes to recommend best solutions
evaluate industry trends and make recommendations to senior management
influence improvements to development processes and tools
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
at least 10 years of progressive experience in technology
at least 7 years of experience in information technology field
at least 5 years in senior leadership role
MS/MBA desired – BA in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
strong/superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving ability
strong interpersonal/relationship management skills
proven ability to collaborate with and influence senior management on technical
decisions
in-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to technology
issues
ability to develop recommendations for future capital and operating budgets
proven competencies in advanced problem solving skills for networks, database
applications, and business processes
Travel: Minimum travel required (10%).
Salary: Based upon qualifications and experience.
