1 Introduction
Nokia Series 40 CDMA devices use Openwave browsers (versions 4.1, 6.2.2, and 6.2.3).

The Openwave browser version 4.1 is WAP 1.1 compliant and versions 6.2.2 and 6.2.3 are WAP 2.0 compliant.

For more information on Openwave mobile browsers, visit http://developer.openwave.com. Due to differences in the
implementation of network services supported by different CDMA operators, the same Nokia CDMA mobile device may
be configured differently in some geographic areas and on some networks. It is recommended to check with your
operator to determine if specific functionality is supported by the mobile device in question.

The variants of some devices may have been shipped without the browser.

2 Series 40 Platform 1st Edition

The devices compliant with Series 40 Platform 1st Edition are Nokia 3105, Nokia 3125, Nokia 3205, Nokia 3585i, Nokia
3586, Nokia 3586i, Nokia 3587, Nokia 3587i, Nokia 6012, Nokia 6015, Nokia 6015i, Nokia 6225, and Nokia 6585. In
practice this means that the devices compatible with Series 40 Platform 1st Edition use the same base browser
software with some device-specific exceptions. The following tables present the software characteristics of Nokia
CDMA device browsers compared to the Series 40 Platform 1st Edition base browser software.
