Personnel during the year 2010-11.

Sir/Madam,

This Ministry has been sponsoring various Workshop-cum-Training Programmes

at Automotive Research Association of India, Pune and Central Institute of Road
Transport, Pune on the following topics:

Vehicular Pollution Road Transport Regulation and

Administration
Alternate Fuels Road Safety Management

Vehicle Evaluation Type approval and CoP of vehicle, Safety

components and engines
Retro-fitment of CNG/LPG vehicles Road accident investigation

Vehicular Safety Information Technology in transport

Safety concerns in Bus & Truck building Vehicular Emissions & control measures
Emission requirements for BS III & BS IV Technical aspects of Central Motor
Vehicle Rules
Next generation transportation in India

2. A schedule of the training programmes to be organized by these institutes during

the year 2010-11 is enclosed. The date and venue for the training programme to be
conducted for North-Eastern States will be intimated later. These training programmes
are to be conducted by these institutes for the officers of Transport Departments of
States/UTs.
3. It is requested that at least four officers not below the rank of Motor Vehicle
Inspector may be nominated for each programme. The names of the officers along with
their designation and address (including contact number) may be intimated directly to the
institutes as per the following address:-

4. There is no course fee for the training programmes. Free lodging/boarding will be
provided by the respective institutes. However, travel and DA expenses of the officers
will have to be met by the sponsoring State Government/UT Administration.

5. It may also be noted that feed back on the contents and usefulness of the course
from the concerned officer who had undergone training will be taken by the training
institution with a view to forward those to this Ministry for appropriate action.
