STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE TO FACTORY RESET THE

IRD VSAT BOX (SNA 4400)

AND CONFIGURING NEW AMA VSAT FREQUENCY
General Procedures :
1. Reset IRD unit (factory reset)
2. Reboot and default data will be loaded
3. Access TP (transponder data) data and delete other TP entries.
4. Add AMA Channel Frequency (TP data) and S/R (Symbol rate data)
5. Save new settings
6. Delete other channels
7. Test new channel settings - view live broadcast.

MABUHAY SATELLITE will upgrade on JUNE 14, 2008 at exactly 10:00 am. All live broadcast using
old frequency will be cut-off.

To check if your new IRD configuration is successful, tune in to AMACHANNEL at exactly 10:30AM
(June 14) and you must see the AMA Video commercials being broadcast live.

After successful configuration:

SMS or TEXT the following message to 09266307299

SMS FORMAT: VSAT SUCCESS <SCHOOL> < BRANCH>

Set top box Unit

- Remote Control Unit

STEP 1

Turn ON the set top box - Integrated

Receiver Decoder (IRD)

Use the Remote Control Unit (RCU) and

Press MENU

Select Installation menu and press

button.

FOR ADVANCED USER, GOTO STEP 5 & 8

WITHOUT FACTORY RESET.

STEP 2

Select Factory Reset and

Press button

Enter access code 1234 using numeric button

After sucessful input of access code, select

OK (Factory reset )

and then press button

STEP 3

After pressing OK sequence display below will

be shown.
STEP 4

Once the First Installation appears press OK

button

STEP 5

Under INSTALLATION -> CHANNEL

SEARCH->EQUIPMENT menu, select NONE

and press button

* Enter access code 1234 if CHANNEL

SEARCH is directly access without factory
reset.

STEP 6

Channel Search will appear,

using LEFT/RIGHT button

select 1 and mark check by pressing

button as shown below

Select Manual by pressing button

STEP 7
Default Transponders (TP) is now
loaded.Delete transponders 1,2 and 3 by
marking each (CHECKMARK) . Select each
TP using UP/DOWN and press OK

After Marking TP 1, 2 and 3 (w/ checkmark) ,

press button to delete .

If you cannot delete other TP, just select 1 TP

and edit the parameters

STEP 8

At this point only one TP data is displayed

TP1. Edit TP 1 with the new AMA VSAT
Parameters.

press to mark TP 1 (w/ checkmark)

and RIGHT button to go to FREQ
Press OK and Enter the AMA Frequency
12544 using numeric buttons and press OK
button after entering the correct frequency.

STEP 9

Edit FREQ,S/R,POL and FEC value. Follow

step 8 procedure.

AMA VSAT new parameters

FREQ 12544
S/R 21428
POL V
FEC 5/6 or AUTO

STEP 10

With TP 1 marked check as shown below,

press button for Manual search

** Ensure TP1 is with checkmark before

pressing

STEP 11
Wait until 100% channel search is done.
Press OK button.

At this point , AMAChannel title is listed

STEP 12

After Manual Channel Search, Press OK

button to save settings

STEP 13.

Press EXIT button and view/test new

channels.

STEP 14
From Channel list, SELECT AMACHANNEL
and check the live broadcast.
