Setelah mengikuti serangkaian kegiatan pembelajaran siswa diharapkan dapat :


1. Siswa dapat mengemukakan ungkapan tentang kegiatan masa lampau
menggunakan simple past tense secara baik dan benar
2. Siswa dapat mengemukakan ungkapan tentang kegiatan masa depan
menggunakan simle future tense secara baik dan benar

a. Last Wednesday was a tiring day. I spent my time to do a lot of activities,


that I had no time to take a rest. First, in the morning, I went cycling. After
that I went to school to study until 3 pm. After school I went to sport hall to
play badminton until 8 pm. I played too seriously that I felt really tired.
After that, I went home. But when I wanted to sleep, I remembered there
was some homeworks I had to do. I did my homeworks until 11 pm. And
finally I could take a rest in my bed. Those activities made me exhausted.
b. Last year was the best experience I’ve ever got. I was the first winner of
singing competitionI love singing since I was kid. I practiced so hard before
I the D-day. My parents were really supportive. They helped me to practice
and prepared healthy food for me. They also gave me motivation to believe
in myself. That’s why winning singing competition meant so much to me.

a. Next Thursday is going to be my younger sister’s birthday. She will be 10 years


old. We are going to have a simple but awesome birthday party. My sister gave

wants to include Art and Creativity. In other words, everything for the party
will be handmade. Everyone has their own job. My siblings and I will create
handmade decorations. My sister will decide the theme and tell us what to
make. We’ll paint, cut, glue, draw, and do many more creative activities.We
are going to start doing it tomorrow. Our father will buy everything we need
for the decoration. Our mother will make the birthday cake and prepare food
as well as drink. I believe it’ll be the coolest party we have ever had.
b. What are you going to do this weekend? Hhmmm, I actually haven’t had any
plan yet. My brother and I will probably visit our sister on Saturday. We will
go there by a motorbike. Our sister has a new-born baby girl, our niece. The
baby will be about three weeks old this weekend. She is so cute and chubby.
We also have a five-year-old nephew. He is a super active boy. He likes to
create things and to play soccer. He will play and do creative activities with
me. Then, he’ll play soccer with my brother. He’ll be so happy playing with us.
In the afternoon, my brother and I will go swimming in the pool at a hotel near
my sister’s house. We’ll do a swimming race. We love swimming. If my brother
has nothing to do on Sunday, we’ll probably stay overnight at our sister’s
house.

The Island of Gods

In August, I (go) to Bali Island with my family. I (am) so excited because it (is) my first time to
visit Bali Island. We (spend) five days there. The first thing which (come) to my mind at the first
time I (arrive) at Ngurah Rai Airport (is) beach. My family and I (visit) many interesting places
in Bali. We (go) to Tanah Lot, Uluwatu, Kuta Beach, and Tanjung Benoa. Even though there are
so many beaches in Bali, I (am) not bored with them because each beach (is) unique. Tanah Lot
is a rocky beach with wild waves. It has big caves and rocks surround the beach. Uluwatu lies on
the top of cliff. From that place we (can) see the sea view which (is) the most gorgeous scenery I
have ever seen. Kuta Beach is maybe the most famous beach in Bali. There (are) both local and
foreign tourists surfing or just sun bathing. The best time to come to Kuta Beach is in the
evening to see the sun set. It was so romantic. Tanjung Benoa is a very nice beach. The wind and
waves (are) just right to do water sport. I (do) not want to miss this chance and (try) to do
parasailing. At first, I (am) so afraid because I (will) be flying high. It (turn) out that when I (am)
‘flying’, I (enjoy) it very much. I (can) see the view of the city from the sky. At the end of the
trip, we (go) to Sukawati Market to buy souvenirs for ourselves and friends. You (can) find
almost anything about Bali in Sukawati Market. I (find) a cute dress for myself, wooden craft
statue, sandals, hair accessories, and paintings. What make this market special are the friendly
sellers and friendly price. The goods are so cheap if you know how to bargain. Finally, we have
come to the end of my trip in Bali. I (feel) that time run so fast. I (am) so sad because I (have) to
leave that beautiful place. In Bali, I (do) not only visit beautiful places but I also (learn) about its
culture. I (will) always remember my beautiful trip in Bali and (promise) myself to go back there
again another time.
