Sebuah penelitian uji diagnostik alat skrining IVA untuk deteksi dini kanker serviks dengan
menggunakan hasil PA dari biopsi serviks sebagai baku emas (gold standard). Sebanyak 200 ibu
yang sudah menikah dijadikan sampel penelitian. Pemeriksaan IVA dan pengambilan biopsi
serviks dilakukan oleh dokter SpOG di RS Sanjiwani. Dari 200 sampel didapatkan hasil PA(+)
yang menunjukkan lesi prakanker adalah 50 sampel dan dari 50 sampel tersebut sebanyak 45
hasil pemeriksaan IVA (+). Selain itu, dari 200 sampel tersebut, sebanyak 125 orang didapatkan
hasil test IVA (-).

Sensitivitas = 45/50= 0.9 (90%)
Spesifisitas = 120/150 = 0.8

Nilai duga positif = a/(a+b) = 45/(45+30) = 0.6
Nilai duga negative = d/(c+d) = 120/(5+120)= 0.96
OR = 45.120/5.30 = 36
