The First Shedding of Blood

Genesis 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed
them.

Note: This verse shows for the first time in the bible that something was killed. Can God make
coats of skin without blood? Sure, the devil temped Jesus to make stones into bread and so God
could do that but He did not. It must have been shock to see an animal died and the skin made into
clothes. God had to show Adam the reality of verse 19 "In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread,
till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt
thou return". Some believe that God was just showing them how to dress for the elements that were
to come. True, but it does not teach the true understanding and in-depth meaning of this verse or the
Word of God. God know that the Son of God had to die to save anyone(the Elected).

Luke 9:22 Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and
chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written
in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

2 Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of
the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of
the Spirit and belief of the truth:

The first shedding of blood was the beginning of Atonement and the type and symbol of the blood
of Christ. No one knows what kind of animal was slain at that time but for MY OPINION, it was
lamb.

clothed them.

Exodus 28:4 And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a
robe, and a broidered coat(H3801), a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for
Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.

Isaiah 22:21 And I will clothe him with thy robe(H3801), and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I
will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem,
and to the house of Judah.

The coats of skin was the type and symbol of Christ's Atonement for our sin as God covered Adam
and Eve from their nakedness. The coats of skin were wrapped around Adam and Eve as the blood
of Christ is wrapped around our sin to see them no more. This also was the first sacrifice made to
show Adam and Eve of what had to be done as a offering.
Ge 4:3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an
offering unto the Lord.
Ge 4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord
had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

Note: It is quite clear that God was the one to show them how and in what fashion the offering had
to be in or God would have had respect for Cain's offering. Otherwise, how would Abel know to
bring the first of the flock.

So as Christ died to cover or atone for sin by fulfilling the law in Matt. 5:18 Think not that I am
come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Lk 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is
preached, and every man presseth into it.
Lk 16:17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word(G3056), even in this; Thou shalt love thy
neighbour as thyself.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word(G3056), and the Word(G3056) was with God, and the
Word(G3056) was God.

John 1:14 And the Word(G3056) was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

There is no doubt in the Word of God that Christ came to fulfill the Law of Moses and give a
sufficient Atonement to those that believe in God the Son, Christ Jesus our Lord and Savoir
