sed and independent label talent as Nominees for The 10th Independent Music Awar
ds (The IMAs), the influential awards program for independent bands and fans. O
ne Step Away is comprised of Adam Carrington (Lead Vocals), Terence Healy (Guita
r), Mike Nuzzolo (Bass) and Ben Trudeau (Drums), ages 16-18.
Representing the broad spectrum of today’s global independent music scene, the mor
e than 300 Nominees in nearly 70 Song, Album, Music Video and Design categories
were culled from submissions from across the globe: North America, South Americ
a, Asia, Australia and Europe. One Step Away is an Independent Music Award nomi
nee for their full-length Pop/Rock Album “For the Broken”. “For the Broken” was record
ed at Soundmine Recording Studio (Four Year Strong, Framing Hanley, Forever the
Sickest Kids) with producers Dan Malsch and Alec Henninger. One Step Away conti

One Step Away won the We Are Listening “Breaking the Band” Contest in December 2010.
This past January, they performed as nominated semi-finalists at Showcase Live
at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro in the RJL Memorial Battle of the Bands along-si
de American Idol Finalist Siobhan Magnus. One Step Away next performances are a
t the Middle East Downstairs (Cambridge) at 1pm on March 26th, Church Club (Bost

IMA Winners will be determined by a panel of 62 influential artist and industry
judges including Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan, Suzanne Vega, Aimee Mann, Pete
Wentz, Bettye LaVette, Seal, Adam Duritz, Ozzy Osbourne, Arturo Sandoval, Martin
Atkins, Andrew W. K., Shelby Lynne, Kevin Lyman (Warped Tour), Bill Bragin (Lin
coln Center), Anthony DeCurtis (Rolling Stone), Pat McGuire (Filter Magazine) an
d Evan Schlansky (American Songwriter) and will be announced in mid-March 2011.
Music fans have until July 11 to cast their votes at The IMA Vox Pop Jukebox to
determine the fan-selected IMA Winners. Nominees For The 10th Annual IMAs Pop/R
