Announcement from the Alameda County Water District

The water main pipes along Cedar Blvd. were supposed to be flushed last January. Due to an emergency, the
flushing was cancelled. It has now been scheduled for Thursday, April 21, 2011.
The purpose of the flushing is to remove sediment, such as rust deposits and sand from pipes that deliver wa-
ter to all of Murieta.
During or soon after the flushing operation, you may notice some discoloration or sediment in the tap water
of your unit. To clear this material from your plumbing, please run cold water from your bathtub faucet until
the water runs clear. Please avoid washing white or light colored laundry between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and
4:00 p.m. on that day.

In Case You Needed an Excuse to Join Face-

book…
In an effort to improve the communication between the office and all residents/owners, we have created a
Facebook page for Murieta.
When anything noteworthy is going on or about to happen around Murieta, we will remind you on Face-
book. If you have a Facebook account, all you need to do is search for Murieta Owners’ Association (you will
recognize us by the HOA’s logo). Once you are on the Murieta page, you can “like it” and all future postings
from us will appear on your news “feed”.
We really hope that this will be a useful communication tool and that it will keep everyone better informed.
So, after reading notices in the newsletter or building’s doors, perhaps you can be reminded on your own
“wall” :)

New Policy Regarding Packages Left at the Office:

As a courtesy to all residents, the office accepts packages from UPS, FEDEX and other courier companies
when there is nobody home to accept them.
The maximum weight of a package that the office will accept is now 25 lbs.
If you are expecting packages heavier than 25 lbs. please plan to be home to receive them or make other ar-
rangements.
The storage closet dedicated to residents’ packages is a small one. Very large packages create a problem for
the office and if they do not properly fit inside the closet, we cannot guarantee their safe keeping. Please
come and retrieve your packages as soon as possible to make room for the new ones that come every day.

Time to Get Rid of your Bulky Waste:

Waste Management will have a bulky waste dumpster in guest parking on the back wall of the property
From Tuesday, April 12 until Monday, April 18, 2011.
As always, furniture, mattresses, toys and big non-electrical items go inside the bin. Any electric or electronic
items should be placed on the ground next to the bin. NO construction debris of any kind can go in this
dumpster bin. Waste Management will stop this program if we don’t abide by these guidelines. Thank you.

Common Area Carpet Cleaning:

Buildings 4 (39931 Cedar), Building 5 (39865 Cedar) and Building 6 (39887 Cedar) will have the hallway car-
pets dry cleaned on Tuesday, April 5 and Wednesday April 6.
