Admissions Application Information

• Click on link http://gradschool.fiu.edu/admissions.html


• Click on “Masters Programs Application
• If you are new to our application and do not already, have a
PIN; please click on the button that says “Create Account” to
register for a new account by completing all of the blank spaces.
• After completing blank spaces, please click on the button that says
“Create Account” Please note your PIN and password for future
use. After you create the PIN, you will use it to go into the system to
complete the application.
• You will receive a screen message from FIU with your password, please
record password and print message from FIU.
• Click on login to continue
• On Term of Use page, select agree and no.
• Click continue and create new account.
• Click Application for Admission
• Click begin your application by clicking here
• Complete Application Information by filling in the blank spaces, leave
U. S Social Security Number section blank
• For what is your citizen status in the US section, please choose
International
• After completing page, please select save and continue button.
• Complete Visa Information section, please choose FI- Student
Status visa for type of visa you will hold while attending FIU
section. Leave the permanent resident sections blank.
Choose save and continue section.
• For Address Information section,
o Leave Local Mailing Address in the US section blank
o Complete Foreign Address section with your address in
Jamaica
o For Local Address same as Foreign address, choose NO
o Enter Foreign Address in Jamaica information as
Permanent Address
o Choose save and continue section.
• For Emergency Contact Information, please complete
applicable sections and select save and continue
• For Academic Information section,
For the Degree Level, select Master’s.
Select the program you are applying to from the drop down box for Major.
Your selection should be Executive MBA
Choose Jamaica for Sub-Plan
• What term do you wish to be considered for? – Select Fall 2011 (which is
September 2011) .
• For admit type please choose Graduate Applicant- Foreign
• Select no for campus housing and financial aid questions

For College/University Information Section:

 Leave College Code 1 section – blank, if you attained your Bachelors Degree
from a non-US University/College
 If you attained your Bachelors Degree from a US University/College, search for
University Code and enter
 Type in name of University where you attained your Bachelors Degree.
 Enter name of city where University is located.
 Select Country where University is located.
 Select Degree earned
 Type in major for Bachelors Degree
 Enter Dates Attended From and Dates Attended To sections
 Select save and continue button

Test Results
It is not necessary to complete this section so leave all of this page blank and select
save and continue button.

Application Essay and Letters of Recommendation Sections


There is no need to submit this information at this time. The essay and two letters of
recommendation should be emailed to Wayne Barrett at the UCC at
wbarrett@ucc.edu.jm or delivered to his office at UCC at 17 and his contact
numbers are 511-3979 (office) or 855-0865/477-5001 (cell).

Judicial Status Section

Select yes or no as applicable for the three questions and select save and
continue button

Florida Residency Section

Select Florida Non-Resident section and select save and continue button.

Application Signature Section

Type in name and date and select save and proceed to submission.

Application Status; Ready for Submission section

Click I have read and agreed section and select continue button

Resume
There is no need to upload with application. You can submit to UCC by e-mail to Wayne
Barrett at the UCC at wbarrett@ucc.edu.jm.

Application Fee Payment Section


You can either pay with a US credit card or select the option that says "check or money
order" and submit payment to UCC. Application fee payment (US$30) made through
UCC must be done by US$ bank draft payable to Florida international University.

Select pay and continue

Final Step: Signature Page

Type in Full name, date and submit

Payment Receipt/Payment Voucher Section

Print two copies of either payment voucher or payment receipt and save payment
voucher or payment receipt.

Please Fax either payment voucher or receipt to Wayne Barrett at 968-1926.
