RIGHT START ENRICHMENT PROGRAM

Dear Parents (and Grandparents),

This fall, St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church is offering a unique

opportunity to its members and community parents through its Right
Start Enrichment Program. While a structured school year is filled
with course studies and formal learning, the Right Start Enrichment
Program is geared toward discovering individual learning pursuits of
your toddler and pre-schooler through fun and innovative classes.
Some of the classes offered this Fall include arts and crafts,
reading and music, languages and sports. These classes allow kids
to spend substantial time having fun, making new friends and
exploring their interests. They also allow moms, dads (or
grandparents and babysitters) to have a little time to themselves,
knowing that their children are in a fun and safe environment.
Our primary objective is to offer innovative programs with a
variety of topics that both interest and challenge students, while
creating a fun and friendly environment that fosters a love of learning.
Classes will begin September 15 and run through November
21, 2008. Class size will be limited, allowing each student to receive
individual attention from our dedicated staff. We aim for each student
to have a memorable and rewarding experience.
Enrollment for the classes begins August 10. Registration
forms will be available at the church office or online. Classes are
offered at reasonable rates, allowing parents to sign their children up
for more than one activity.
We strive to offer the most interesting and popular classes to
students and parents. If you have ideas for future classes, feel free
to contact us and tell us at Enrichmentprograms@yahoo.com. We
are in the process of developing a St. Sava webpage where you can
access class information, registration and class updates. Hopefully, it
will be up and running by the end of July. In the meantime, we will
keep you informed with periodic updates via mail. Registration forms
will be available in the church office August 1, 2008.
Attached is a preliminary list of classes and times they are
being offered. Take a look at them and write to us with any
suggestions that you have. We look forward to seeing you in the
Fall!!

Moving to Music
Ages 18 months -2.5 years (with parent or grandparent)

Our active approach to musical learning introduces your little one to a

variety of musical instruments, sounds and music. We will sing,
dance and play games while learning about rhythm, beat, tempo,
melody and other musical skills. Music is an incredible tool that
impacts your child’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual
development. Your child will love participating in this class with
mom/dad or other care givers. This is an 8 week class. Class limited
to 10 children.

Rainbow Colors
Ages 3.5 - 6

In this class, children draw, paint, cut, and create fun and age-
appropriate projects. Children learn to work together, observe and
listen, while developing respect for one another and each other’s
artwork. Every week a different color will be introduced, inspiring the
theme for each project while allowing children to develop their own
style. Your child will be able to bring their project home. Dress your
young artist appropriately. This is a 6 week class. Class limited to 8
children.

Explore the Alphabet
Ages 2.5 – 5 years

Learning about the alphabet from A to Z! This is a great way to let

your child learn a new letter of the alphabet while doing all sorts of
fun activities that begin with that letter. Through group activities,
children will learn to share, take turns, and listen to directions. At the
same time, they will have a blast playing games together and making
new friends. This is a 10 week class. Class limited to 8 children.

Adventure Trails
Ages 3-6

Ready, Set, Go! Your child can enjoy two hours supervised fun this
Fall with our experienced staff! Games, crafts, exercise and outdoor
fun (weather permitting) are all part of the activities. Of course, we’ll
stop to cool off and have some snacks together! Kids will make new
friends and make some wonderful lasting memories! So, get your
tennis shoes on and lets have some fun! This is a 10 week class.
Enrollment is limited to 15 children.

Tumbling Tots
Ages 2.5 – 4

Help your child develop balance, coordination and motor skills.

Tumbling is basic non-apparatus gymnastics that promotes center
body coordination and overall flexibility. Children will learn the basics
of tumbling through fun stretching exercises, warm-up drills and
rolling around on the mats. Your child will love jumping around and
playing. This is a 10 week class. Class limited to 10 children.

Jungle Exploration
Ages 3-6

Welcome to the wild world of animals in the jungle! Kids will enjoy this
fun class by learning about various animals through reading books,
participating in silly activities and playing lots of fun games. This
interactive class lets kids make new friends through fun and games.
This is a 10 week class. Class limited to 8 children.

Doing Art Together

Age 2-3 parent or grandparent

This special class will allow parent (or grandparent) and child quality
time for creative, interactive fun! Using a variety of drawing, painting
and craft materials, parent and young artist will explore the exciting
world of art while learning from one another. Stretching the
imagination and having fun together is the primary goal. This is a 6
week class. Class limited to 8 children.

Wild & Wacky Friday

Ages 3-6

What a way to end the week! This two hour class has something for
everyone…sports, crafts, music! This class lets your kids burn off
some of that extra energy they have while bonding with new friends
and playing fun activities. Kids will play sports, like soccer and t-ball,
enjoy making wacky art projects, listen to music and just have lots of
wild and wacky fun! This is a 10 week class. Class is limited to 15
children.
Friday 1:00 – 3:00

Stay and Play Time
Ages Birth – 6 years (with parents or caregiver)

This is non-structured play time where parents can meet in a warm

and safe environment while allowing their kids time to run around and
play. Games, gym equipment and toys will be set out for the kids to
use and one of our experienced staff members will be on hand to
make sure no one gets hurt. Drop in any time, have a cup of coffee
and meet your friends while your child meets theirs. Enjoy an hour or
so of fun. The best part is that you won’t have to clean up the toys
and mess afterwards! This is offered for 10 weeks and is limited to 25
children.

Friday 10 – 12:00 p.m.

$25 for one child/parent (or grandparent/caregiver)
$5 for each additional child in the same family
