Employee recruitment and retention are not just the very basic but also the most
important functions of the HR Department in any organization in the corporate
world that includes both the business and the manufacturing organizations.
This notion hence lead me to explore and delve in these two basic and most
important functions of the organization and I have taken up the project research
on the following topic in order to understand the existing strategies and suggest
enhancements
The survival and the growth of any organization depends upon the
recruitment and the retention of the right talent in the organization
and this research would help us to know as to what a leading company
like Sonalika is doing to recruit and retain the right kind of talent in
the organization and suggestions to enhance the same.
PROBLEM AND STATEMENT
While working on the project following problem and constraints were found:
The main objective of the study is to find out the various ways of hiring and
retaining the employees as much as possible in comparison to other Companies.
Apart from this main aim there are many other secondary objectives of this
research, which can be enumerated as follows:
• To know as to what all techniques and methods that the company follows
to motivate the employees and make them feel more comfortable at work.
The methodology of this project is based upon the various sources of data
collected as mentioned below like primary sources, secondary sources and tools
used.
The study focuses on the various hiring and retention strategies that are adopted
by Sonalika for hiring the right talent and also retaining employees as much as
possible as it is mandatory for an organization to hire and work with the best

retention strategies that can also be adopted and are currently followed and
enhance their recruitment and retention strategies to perform better than other
organizations and to attract more employees keeping them productive and happy.
