INTRODUCTION
&
RATIONALE OF TOPIC CHOSEN

Employee recruitment and retention are not just the very basic but also the most
important functions of the HR Department in any organization in the corporate
world that includes both the business and the manufacturing organizations.

This notion hence lead me to explore and delve in these two basic and most
important functions of the organization and I have taken up the project research
on the following topic in order to understand the existing strategies and suggest
enhancements

“EMPLOYEES RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION AT

INTERNATIONAL TRACTORS LTD. SONALIKA GROUP
(HOSHIYARPUR)”

The survival and the growth of any organization depends upon the
recruitment and the retention of the right talent in the organization
and this research would help us to know as to what a leading company
like Sonalika is doing to recruit and retain the right kind of talent in
the organization and suggestions to enhance the same.
PROBLEM AND STATEMENT

While working on the project following problem and constraints were found:

o Lack of expertise being a trainee in analyzing data

o Many employees do not give the answer.

o Sometimes employees do not give the right answer of the question.

o Some employees do not give right response

o There is biasness in the data.

OBJECTIVES

The main objective of the study is to find out the various ways of hiring and
retaining the employees as much as possible in comparison to other Companies.
Apart from this main aim there are many other secondary objectives of this
research, which can be enumerated as follows:

• To gather information on what the company does in order to retain the

right kind of talent in the organization.

• To know as to what all techniques and methods that the company follows
to motivate the employees and make them feel more comfortable at work.

• Understanding how successful the various hiring and retention strategies

are and how effective they are in making the employee more productive
and happy.

• One of the important objectives in this report is to study the recruitment

and retention process closely and then suggest ways to increase the
effectiveness of both the functions for the benefit and growth of the
company.

function that company provides to the employees to help them start with
their work.
