1. What is the P1 4G MF-230 Portable Modem with WiFi?

The P1 4G Portable Modem with WiFi (MF-230) is a portable WiMAX WiFi modem that supports
WiMAX Internet access and WiFi to allow multiple user sharing on the go. It supports standard
802.11b/g WiFi capability with 360 degree WiMAX reception antenna.

2. What is the MF-230 Launch Promo plan?

The MF-230 launch promo plan is a new postpaid Broadband On-The-Go plan. The plan comes with
the new MF-230 device. This plan is available exclusively at the 6 Harvey Norman stores throughout
Malaysia

3. Is there a contract period for P1 4G MF-230 launch promo plan?

No. The P1 MF-230 launch promo plan postpaid plan is a “no contract” postpaid plan. Customers
can choose to stop the service at any time.

4. Is “Cooling Off Period” applicable?

Yes. 7 days Cooling Off Period is applicable for these MF-230 launch promo plan. Within 7 days from
the registration, you can decide to terminate the service. We will refund your full upfront payment
back to you.

5. I am an existing US-230/UM-230/UH-235 customer. I like the MF-230. Can I change my US-

230/UM-230/UH-235 Portable Modem to the MF-230 Portable Modem?
Unfortunately no. It is not possible to switch plans as they have completely different modem
ownership schemes.

6. What are the contents in the MF-230 package?

The modem package contains the MF-230 Portable Modem, USB cable and quick user guide manual.

7. How far can the WiFi on the MF-230 cover?

The MF-230 WiFi connection can support up to 20 meters indoors and 35 meters in open areas
depending on environmental factors (e.g. walls, location of the WiFi-enabled computers, etc).

8. How many devices can the MF230 support?

The MF-230 can support up to 5 WiFi enabled devices simultaneously. Overall, the MF-230 provides
flexibility with on the go connection sharing.

9. How long do I need to charge the battery?

If your device is fully discharged, you will need to charge the battery for 3-4 hours using the USB
cable.

10. Can I use a 2/3 PIN power plug to charge the battery?
Yes you can. However, you will need to purchase a standard 5 Volt 2 Amp 2/3 PIN power plug with a
USB port.

11. How can I secure my WiFi connection on the MF-230?

You can change your SSID and WEP key.
12. How can I change my SSID and WEP Key?
A: You will need to walk in to our P1 P@ddock or PitStop (JB & Penang) with your MF230 device. Our

13. How do I reset the MF-230 to factory default settings?

The bottom of the modem has a reset button. You need to use a small pin to hold the reset button
about 10 seconds before taking out your pin. The MF-230 will auto restart itself after this.
