Expected student trajectories, as estimated by NWEA(2008) are shown as continuous lines. Lines
of constant percentile in NWEA national sample are shown as dashed. Error bars: +/- two standard
deviations around the expected RIT score for a student that started one year earlier with a fall RIT
score that maps to the middle trajectory. The length of the error bar is 22.5 pts at grade 3, and 17
points at grade 10. Sources: NWEA Complete Norms 2008.
