The Company
Apex Minerals is a mining company based in Malaysia with operating mineral properties in the
Phillipines and other exploration/development prospects in various areas of the world

It was incorporated in 1970 and its purpose is to acquire, develop and operate mines in various
areas of the world. Current operations include an operating gold mine located in the Phillipines
on the island of Mindanao about 115 kilometres by road from the port city of Daveo.

History and Background to the Sale

This equipment was purchased in 2007/2008 for the purposes of carrying out a significant
expansion at the Masara Mine planned by Crew Minerals, the then owners of Apex Mining.
Soon after the equipment had been delivered, the project was put on hold by new management
at Apex while further studies and evaluation were carried out. In the meantime the equipment
was securely stored for future use in a secure warehouse in Jade valley where it has remained
ever since.

In 2009 Crew Minerals sold Apex Mining to a Malaysian company who after completing further
review have decided to approach the expansion of the plant on a more gradual basis and
consider the equipment to be surplus to their needs.

The equipment available consists of all the major items required for a state-of-the-art gold room
with the capability of processing 8-10 tonnes of activated carbon per day.

Summary Description

The process is designed with a Split Zadra elution system, basketless cathode electrowinning
cells, an electrically heated horizontal carbon regeneration kiln, induction smelting furnace and
all the supporting equipment required for a complete gold room including structural steel,
platforms, stairways, guard rails etc required for the plant. Much of the equipment still remains
in its original shipping crates and packaging and is in very good condition.

It has been recently inspected and a detailed list prepared. Brief notes are included in the
Detailed Inspection list below of the findings of that inspection for each piece of equipment.

It is Apex’s intention to offer all of the equipment for sale as a package. It will suit anyone who
requires a complete gold room package. The equipment is all of good quality privided by
reputable suppliers to the industry and will give sterling service. Engineering drawings including
general arrangement, P&ID’s will be made available on request Installation and Operating
manuals, steel erection drawings electrical and structural steel drawings are extant and will be
available from the manufacturers to buyers to support their subsequent design and construction
activities. We are sure it will meet any technical requirements for such a plant It is available
for inspection any time with suitable notice and would be made available to the buyer
immediately upon settlement.
