meet the demand. Because of the most environmental
protection departments are far from power plant’s locations,

platform. The platform has two functions, one is monitoring,
the other is controlling. The architecture of CEMS has
become more and more populous.
II. DESIGN OF SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE
The CEMS which has the function of wireless
communication is designed to accomplish monitoring
quantity of CO, CO2, NO, SO2, and some additional dusts.
The system is showed as fig.1 below: Figure 2. Architecture of the CEMS

The analog signals collected by kinds of sensors are sent

to the PLC. The analog signals are converted to digital
signals by the PLC, and the digital signals will be proceed by
the data unit and the wireless communication unit. The
process unit has two functions, one is to analyse all digital
signals from the PLC, and the other is to display the signals
in the form of graphs. The wireless communication unit
powered by DC power will accomplish function of data
transmission.

To establish communications over a point-to-point link, LD SM0.1
the originating PPP first sends LCP frames to configure and MOVB 16#53,VB2499
test the data-link. After establishing link and negotiating ATCH
optional facilities using LCP the original PPP will send NCP ATCH
frames to choose and configure one or more network layer ENI
protocols. After configuring each network layer protocol
packets of each network layer could be transferred and link
will remain configured and packets could be sent over those
links. Link will remain configured for communication till
plain LCP or NCP frames closed and some external events
occurred like inactivity timer expires or user intervenes.
The PPP LCP provides a method of establishing,
configuring, maintaining, and terminating the point-to-point
protocol connection. LCP goes through four distinct phases:
1) First, link organization and configuration arbitration
occurs. Before any network layer datagram (for example IP)
can be exchanged, LCP first must open the connection and
negotiate configuration parameters. This phase is complete
