MINISTRY EXPERIENCE
RESIDENT ASSISTANT 2007-2009
Kentucky Christian University Grayson, Kentucky
Acted as a mentor and mediator to students, and was a liaison between students and
administration. Also led devotions and Bible studies for dorm residents.
Successfully started the college ministry at Gregoryville Christian Church, doing the bulk of
the teaching on Sunday mornings before the main service. Also lead the college group in
various projects and events through the church. Have also preached at various services at the
church when asked.
Effectively helped set-up, run, organize, and tear-down four weeks worth of a large scale
conference containing a total of approximately 1,800 senior high and junior high students on
KCU’s campus, along with building relationships with students during the entire process.
Also taught a workshop at all four conferences over the basics of Christianity.
Led a team of three people to various Christian camps across Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois,
West Virginia, and Virginia doing various ministry things such as teaching, preaching,
building relationships, counseling, and event organization. Also learned how to do things
with very short notice.
Assist Campus Ministry in various details of ministry on campus, including but not limited to
organizing bands for the chapel services, helping select ambassadors for the school, preaching
at different area churches, and helping other KCU students with spiritual issues.
Was leader of a new Christian club, President of the Student Government, Senior
Representative on the district-wide Student Advisory Council, and Editor-in-Chief of the
school newspaper.
Degree includes an emphasis in Adult and Family Ministry, as well as Preaching. Led section
devotions, traveled extensively to various churches and youth groups to speak, and was
President of the Student Body. Launched a mid-week worship experience on campus. Also
won the Mr. G. Award for Servant Leadership in 2009.
