Dear Ms. Marzocco:

Thank you for your recent letter explaining your frustration with the way in which
Children's Protective Services are administered. As much as we would like to assist you
with this matter, the Congressman is limited in what he can do because the Public
Children's Services Agency (PCS A) comes under the direct authority of the State of Ohio,
Department of Job & Family Services, which is "federally funded, state-supervised, and
county-administered". County commissioners can designate any private or government
entity within the state to serve as a county's PCS A.

Because Congressman Jordan is a representative in the federal government,

although Congress provides funding for this agency, he has no authority over the
administration of state and local government.

If you haven't already brought your concerns to the attention of your County
Commissioners we would suggest you contact them at:

You may want to address this issue with your state legislator also. He would be in a
position to let you know if legislation has been introduced to deal with the concerns you've
brought up, or how you could work with him to introduce such legislation.

 If you have specific instances of where you feel a judge has overstepped their authority,
you can bring those concerns to the Ohio Supreme Court. Disciplinan Counsel. The Office of
Disciplinan Counsel has the legal authority to investigate allegations of ethical misconduct made
against attorneys, judges, and magistrates, as well as the unauthorized practice of law. Enclosed
is their complaint form for your convenience.

The Congressman is always willing to offer assistance with matters pertaining to the
Federal government and he hopes that you will continue to contact him with concerns or
