One of the first things we need to do is to take a look at the phases of the Moon, the
Moon travels in a counter clockwise orbit around the Earth, the orbit is more oval in
structure, rather than circular.

The time of the Moon's orbit varies each and every Month, so, periodically Yahweh's
Torah comes into effect, and a Miracle occurs, Yahweh causes the Moon, Sun, and
Earth to come into direct alignment with each other.

And this is a Sign for mankind to begin to count, for the Set Apart Days.

Everything starts of at zero or at nothing or in darkness.

Before Yahweh gave the Sun or the Moon the earth was in darkness.

Beresheeth/Genesis 1:2-5

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of
the deep. And the Ruach of Elohim moved upon the face of the mayim (waters).

3 And Elohim said, Let there be Light: and light was.

4 And Elohim saw the Light, that it was tov (good): and Elohim divided the Light from
the darkness.

5 And Elohim called the Light, Daytime, and the darkness He called Night. And the
evening (1) and the morning (2) were Yom Rishon.

In Yahweh’s Calender Night or Darkness (1) comes before light (2), so in my opinion
the Dark Moon also comes before the light of the moon and that is fact.

The time for counting starts when the Moon is positioned exactly in alignment
between the Earth and the Sun, remember in The Scriptures where it says the Sun
and Moon, and Stars are for Signs (Genesis 1:14-18).

14 And Elohim said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the shamayim (heavens)
to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for moadim(The Appointed
Times, Or Eternal Feasts of YHWH (Plural), and for days, and years:

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the shamayim (heavens) to give light
upon the earth: and it was so.

16 And Elohim made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser
light to rule the night: He made the cochavim (stars) also.

17 And Elohim set them in the firmament of the shamayim (heavens) to give light upon
the earth,

18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the
darkness: and Elohim saw that it was tov (good).

19 And the evening1 and the morning were Yom Revee.

We need to note that a day starts at Sundown or in darkness so also does the
Moon.

History records that many nations were able to calculate the Conjunction exactly, for
example two of them, Egypt and Babylon, although they only calculated to
find when the Crescent would take place, the ancient Aztecs were more than
capable of determining the Conjunction as well.

Any man or woman with the proper talents or gifts can do this quite easily, at the
Conjunction; the Moon is very different than at any other time of its orbit.

It is totally obscured to the eye.

Notice that the Word of Yahweh states that evening (darkness) comes first which ushers in a new day as
the scriptures teach that a day ends at sundown and begins at sundown, so it is with a new moon/month it
always starts at dark (Conjunction/Dark Moon).

It cannot be seen.

As a result of this, you will not be tempted to look up to see the Moon, "crescent"
and/or "full", and "worship" it, as Yahweh has warned against.

The Sun cannot really be seen as the human eye cannot look at the sun for too long
without causing problems with the eyes and even possible blindness.

Deuteronomy 4:14-19
14 And ‫ יהוה‬commanded me at that time to teach you chukim (Statutes, Or Ordinances) and
mishpatim (Judgments, Or Right-Rulings That Make Perfect Sense) that you might do them in the land
you are going to possess.

15 Take therefore tov (good) heed to yourselves; for you saw no manner of form on the
day that ‫ יהוה‬spoke to you in Horev out of the midst of the fire:

16 Lest you corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, the form of any figure,
the likeness of male, or female,

17 The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that
flies in the air,

18 The likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is
in the mayim (water) beneath the earth:

19 And lest you lift up your eyes to the shamayim (heavens), and when you see
the sun, and the moon, and the cochavim (stars), even all the host of the
shamayim(heavens), should be drawn to worship them, and serve them, which
‫ יהוה‬your Elohim has given to all nations under the whole shamayim(heavens).
Yahweh makes it abundantly clear that He does not want any of the children of
Yisrael from worshipping the Sun, Moon, Stars etc.

As we have read in verse fifteen above Yahweh says that He did not appear in any
form from within the midst of the fire, they only heard His voice.

Yahweh did not want to appear in any form, because He knew the children of Yisrael
would make an image out of this and begin to worship it.

Notice that verse 19 states that seeing the sun and the moon, etc, that the children
of Yisrael would be drawn to worship them.

So I would have to ask, why would Yahweh want us to determine a new month by
observation of a crescent moon?

When we actually stop and look into the crescent moon interpretation it’s founded
upon paganism and not one of scripture, More on this to follow shortly.

The Hidden Moon, when totally dark is a Conjunction with the Sun, and Earth.

A miracle of Yahweh's Time Clocks in action, it seems that mankind today thinks
they can out smart Yahweh by making up doctrines like the month starts with a
crescent moon seen over Jerusalem by a group of people who don’t really know the
Creator of the Moon let alone a phase of the moon.

Yeshayahu/Isaiah 28:10

10 For precept must be laid upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line
upon line; here a little, and there a little:

The word used here in Isaiah “line” the Hebrew word is kav or Kawv

Line upon line - This word (‫ קו‬qav), properly means “a cord, a line;” particularly a
measuring cord or line (2Ki_21:13; Eze_47:13; see the note at Isa_18:2). Here it
seems to be used in the sense of “a rule,” “law,” or “precept.” Grotius thinks that the
idea is taken from schoolmasters who instruct their pupils by making lines or marks
for them which they are to trace or imitate. There is a repetition of similar sounds in
the Hebrew in this verse which cannot be conveyed in a translation, and which
shows their contempt in a much more striking manner than any version could do - ‫לקו‬
‫ כי צו לצו צו לצו קו לקו קו‬kîy tsav lâtsâv tsav lâtsâv qav lâqâv qēv lâqâv.

With Yahweh He has made everything perfect, the earth, the Moon the planets are
all perfectly round, when Yahweh made them He made them all for a purpose.

When the Moon is in line with the earth and the Sun it’s at a perfect point, the Moon
will either be full or conjunction (Dark) but its only at this time that the earth is in line
with the moon and the sun.

He’s Got the whole World in His Hands

 The Only two times that the
Earth is in line perfectly with the Sun and Moon is on a Full Moon and a New
Moon.

Yeshayahu/Isaiah 28:10

It is my own personal opinion, however I believe it makes perfect sense that the only
time that earth is in line with the Sun is when there is a Full Moon and a New Moon
(Dark Moon) which lines up with scripture where Yahweh has line upon line.

I am not by any means using this scripture to prove my point about the earth and
moon being in line with the sun but the fact that Yahweh expects everything to be in
line with His perfect will so He also requires the Moon, the Sun and the Earth to be in
line at Yahweh’s appointed time.

Another example of a New Moon as Dark Moon or conjunction moon is that of

King Dawid.

1 Samuel 20:5:” And Dawid said to Yonathan, See, tomorrow is the Rosh
Chodesh and I should be sitting with the melech (king) to eat: but let me go, that I
may hide myself in the field until the third day at evening.

How could Dawid make these statements with such certainty?

Yonathan also knew with certainty that tomorrow is the New Moon! How?

1 Samuel 20:18: "Then Yonathan said to Dawid, Tomorrow is Rosh Chodesh: and
you shall be missed, because your seat will be empty. “

There was no written and saved history, before the Yahudim (Jews) came back
from Babylon; we know how it was done then.

Witnesses were sent out, and when they saw the Crescent Moon, they lit a fire
on the mountain, and then came back to Yahrushalayim to be questioned by the
Sanhedrin....

Well, that took some time, did it not?

Also give one scripture that instructs the sighting of a crescent moon to be seen over
Jerusalem and confirmed by the Sanhedrin?

Before there was even a Sanhedrin or a city called Jerusalem, Yahweh gave the
Moon as a way of determining the beginning of months.

Secondly if this was a biblical commandment, it could not be carried out for the
following reasons:

1. There is no Temple in Jerusalem

2. There is no Sanhedrin appointed by a Prophet like Moshe

How did Dawid know that tomorrow was the New Moon?

Well, could he have looked up in the sky and saw the Conjunction, and said
Tomorrow is the Crescent Moon, and that is the New Moon? Hardly possible.

You cannot see the Moon when Yahweh is renewing it, because it is dark.

So, how could he have known?

Some say, they were calculating it, well, many nations knew how to do that as well
as Israel.

Others say, well this dinner Dawid was talking about was pre-planned ahead, and
some say, the kings always invited envoys from other parts of Israel to attend, still
more have concluded that it had to have been planned for quite a while.

So, calculating the Conjunction is how they did it.

Many feel that, Dawid looked up and saw the Last Crescent Moon or wanning
crescent; thereby knowing Tomorrow is the New Moon.

You can see the Last Crescent just about daybreak the day before Conjunction this
is known as the wanning moon.

Is that what Dawid saw?

How could Dawid have stated with certainty, that "Tomorrow is the New Moon"?, If
they were doing it in the way it was done when they returned from Babylon,
Dawid would have had to wait until they saw the Crescent Moon, about Sunset,
then waited until the Witnesses had returned to Yahrushalayim, then word would
have been brought to the King.

It seems likely that process would take a bit of time.

But what if, it was cloudy and overcast that evening, and then they would have had
to wait another day.

Is that Scriptural?

There is a time the Moon is different from any other, that is at The Conjunction (No
or Dark Moon/New Moon).

From the time the Moon starts its orbit at Conjunction, it travels around the Earth,
until its journey is completed, then it is renewed by Yahweh to begin the start of a
New Month, and does exactly what Yahweh has designed it to do.

This is the time Abba Yahweh brings it into alignment with the Earth and the Sun.

What a miracle that is, when this takes place.

Only Yahweh can do that.

Everything Yahweh ever does is perfect and in line with His will.

Only Yahweh can make three planets perfectly aligned at the same time.

The words "New Moon" is translated from: H#2320 chodesh kho' -desh from
H2318; Taken from the root 2318 1) the new moon, month, monthly 1a) the
first day of the month the root word. A primitive root AV-renew 7, repair 1b) to
be new, renew, repair.

Examples of how this word is used in other Scriptures:

1 Samuel 11:14 and renew the kingdom there

2 Chronicles 15:8 renewed the altar
2 Chronicles 24:4 repair the House of Yahweh
2 Chronicles 24:12 carpenters to repair the House
Job 10:17 Thou renewest thy witnesses
Psalms 51:10 renew a right spirit within me.
Psalms 103:5 thy youth is renewed
Psalms 104:30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou

renewest the face of the earth.

This word means to renew, repair, be new, bring back.

But David could have chosen the Hebrew word "Saharon" H #7720, which basically
means Crescent Moon.

But he did NOT!

Dawid chose the word "Chadesh", meaning New Moon or to be more precise
renewed moon.

We all know we cannot have a Full Moon on the First Day of the Month,
because the Full Moon is the time when the Moon is in the middle of her orbit that is
in the middle of the Month, and NOT in the beginning of the Month.

So what is the real meaning here?

The word "Appointed" is translated from the Hebrew: #3677 kece' {keh'-seh} or
keceh {keh'-seh} which is from the root: 3680 kacah {kaw-saw'} which means:
to cover, conceal, hide etc.

Psalms 81:3-4

3 Blow the shofar in the month, at the full moon for the day of our chag.

4 For this was a statute-chuk for Yisrael, and a Torah mishpat of the Elohim of
Yaakov.

There are several reasons that the word “keseh” must mean full and not concealed
moon.

First is the fact that the shofar is blown in the month of the exodus, (not on the New
Moon/Rosh Chodesh as many have mistranslated, for ba-chodesh means in the
month, not necessarily new month, or new moon) from Egypt according to Psalm
81:5.

The blowing is correlated to Yisrael leaving Egypt, which we know took place on the
15th, or the full moon in the month of Aviv. Moreover, and perhaps more compelling
is that the word “chag” is the root word of chaganu, or “our chag,” which only
applies to Unleavened Bread, Feast of Weeks, or Tabernacles.

Yom Teruah, or the Feast of Trumpets, is never called a chag. Also in Psalm 81:5 it
states that this event is a testimony to Yoseph that he will again be delivered from
the nations, as he once was delivered in the historical Egyptian redemption.

The testimony of deliverance dates back to the full moon of Aviv 15 and not the
dark moon of Trumpets. For Yoseph and rest of his brethren were not delivered at
Trumpets, but at Chag Matzoth/Unleavened Bread under the cover of a bright full
moon.

Also, Yisrael is never commanded to blow the shofar on a Rosh Chodesh, or Feast
of Trumpets, as amazing as that may sound, but is ordered to blow the twin silver
trumpets (chatsrot) at that time (Numbers 10:10).

The fact that the word used in verse 5 is shofar and not chatsrot, is further proof that
shofar blowing did take place on Aviv 15, but never on the Feast of Trumpets in
ancient times. The Feast of Teruah/Trumpets had the requirement of sounding
trumpets not shofars, as seen in Leviticus 23:24 and Numbers 29:1.

The word shofar does not appear in those verses, as it does in verse 3 of this Psalm.
Finally in Psalm 81:4, we see that the full moon exodus recorded as a judgment
upon Egypt, stands as a reminder forever to all Yisrael in the Torah.

When considering key verses, such as Psalm 81 verses 4, 5,6, 7, 8, 9 and 10, all
referring to the historical Egyptian exodus under a full moon (Aviv 15), there can
be little doubt left that keseh in verse 3, must also fit that same full moon exodus
context.

No one needs to be a rocket scientist or a mathematician to work out that if there

was a full moon on Aviv 15 then the Moon would need to be at a conjunction state on
Aviv 1.

There is approximately (give or take) 29.5 days in a month or in a moon cycle, 29.5
days divided by two gives us 14.75 days, as the Feast of Unleavened Bread or Chag
Matzah is on Aviv 15 (End of 14th Aviv into 15th) Aviv at Sundown this would mean
that the New Moon would have to be a dark moon or conjunction moon on Aviv 1
each and every year.

If one is to take the calculation of Aviv 1 from the crescent moon as the new moon
this would mean that the First Day of Unleavened Bread would have fallen on a
Waning Gibbous Moon which would be quite contrary to scripture.

The only view that seems to be logical in my opinion is that Aviv 1 is determined by
the Conjunction Moon which is confirmed by the full moon falling on the 15 th Day of
Aviv.

Many within Jewish and Nazarene or Messianic Israel teach the sighting of the
crescent moon must be sited with the barley ripening in Israel, they say the Biblical
year begins with the first New Moon after the barley in Israel reaches the stage in its
ripeness called Abib/Aviv.

However this is not scriptural please read: Is the “Aviv Barley” a Determining
Factor Today

Searching has shown us that the Arab (Muslims) built their swords in a Crescent
style; we understand that Islam counts from the Crescent, in fact many Crescent
Moons appear on top of their Mosques, and on their national flags.

The Crescent Moon seen above most Islamic Mosques.

This is the National Flag of the Islamic State of Pakistan, notice the Crescent Moon is its
symbol, 99.9% of all Islamic Countries identify by having the Crescent moon and star on their
flags.

And there is evidence in the digs around Ur and Haram (where Abraham was
called from), that on top of the temple built for the Moon elohim; a Crescent Moon
was there.

The Moon in this phase is now emitting a thin line of light; many "religious" people
today use this method of counting to determine the days, the religion of Islam uses
this, among others.

If you will take notice, on the top of their mosques the Crescent Moon, which they
describe as having horns, is quite visible.

Where did this originate?

The symbolism of using horns came from Babylon, because of the "worship" of
Cows and the Sun and Moon; Babylon utilized it and used the Crescent as part of
"worship" toward other elohim.

Also in light of the Islamic End Time Beast we are aware that one of the symbols of
the Beast is two horns.

Gilyahna/Revelation 13:11

11 And I looked and another beast came up out of the earth; and he had two horns
like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon.

There is a great deal of research available on this, Abraham lived in Ur, and later in
Haram, where it was the center of Crescent "worship" of the Moon-Elohim Ishtar
called Ningal in Ur.

She has had many names in many different nations - her worship required
licentiousness, sacred prostitution in connection with her temples - her
priestesses entertained male "worshippers" in disgraceful ceremonies - every
maid, wife or widow had to officiate at least once in her lifetime in these rites -
Sin-the Moon-elohim was the deity of Ur.

Yahweh called Abraham out of Babylon, and Yahweh is calling us "out of her"
today (Revelation 18:4)!

 Isaiah 14:12

How (EYK) art thou fallen (NAPHAL) from heaven (MIN) (SHAMAYIM), O Lucifer
(HEYLEL), son of the morning! (SHACHAR) art thou cut down (GADA) to the
ground (ERETS)which didst weaken (CHALASH) (AL) the nations (GOY)

The name Lucifer in Hebrew is HEYLEL. According to Strong Dictionary it

means (brightness); the morning star: Lucifer. The word HEYLEL in Hebrew
has the same meaning in Arabic. HILAL (Arabic): is an Arabic term, associated
with the crescent moon, first developed in pre- Islamic Arabia.

The phrase in Isaiah 14:12 means the shining/brightness born of the morning/dawn.

What is that shining brightness? It could be the rays of the sun but it could also be
the day star or morning star, Venus, which is how some translations render it.

In Latin, the word "Lucifer", meaning "Light-Bringer" (from lux, lucis, "light", and ferre,
"to bear, bring"), is a name for the "Morning Star" (the planet Venus in its dawn
appearances).

The Name of the Whore is Heylel Ben Shachar!

Judges 8:21-28

Then Tzevah and Tzalmunna said, "Rise up yourself, and fall on us; for as the man,
so is his strength." So Gideon arose and killed Tzevah and Tzalmunna, and took the
crescent ornaments which were on their camels' necks

Then the men of Israel said to Gideon, "Rule over us, both you and your son, also
your son's son, for you have delivered us from the hand of Midian."

But Gideon said to them, "I will not rule over you, nor shall my son rule over you;
Yahweh shall rule over you

Yet Gideon said to them, "I would request of you, that each of you give me an
earring from his spoil." (For they had gold earrings, because they were Ishmaelites.)
They said, "We will surely give {them.}" So they spread out a garment, and every
one of them threw an earring there from his spoil

The weight of the gold earrings that he requested was 1,700 {shekels} of gold,
besides the crescent ornaments and the pendants and the purple robes which
{were} on the kings of Midian, and besides the neck bands that {were} on their
camels' necks.

Gideon made it into an ephod, and placed it in his city, Ophrah, and all Israel played
the harlot with it there, so that it became a snare to Gideon and his household So

Midian was subdued before the sons of Israel, and they did not lift up their heads
anymore. And the land was undisturbed for forty years in the days of Gideon.

The Crescent Moon as the Image of Allah

...................And so having concluded that an emblem or a flag could be what
Yahweh was intending to warn us about when he spoke about the Image of the
Beast, it is essential at this juncture that we point out a very important portion of
Scripture with regard to the nature of this final enemy of mankind. The passage is
found in Isaiah 14.

It is here that we find the story of the sin and the fall of S.a.tan. What we will discover
when we analyse the passage a bit closer are some very telling points. The passage
reads as follows:

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou
cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in
thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of
Elohim: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the
north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most
High.
Isaiah 14:12-14

It is in this passage that we are given the name that has come down through the
ages to signify S.a.tan. It is the name Lucifer. Most of us have heard S.a.tan referred
to as Lucifer. In truth, the passage may not so much have been giving us a proper
name as it was giving us a description of who S.a.tan really is.

He is described as Son of the Dawn (or Morning). In Hebrew, the words translated
are Heylal Ben Shachar. What is even more fascinating however is that the word
Heylal, which is translated in the King James as Lucifer is also found in Arabic,
having a nearly identical meaning.

Most specifically Hilal in Arabic means Crescent Moon. When we put the whole
phrase together Heylal Ben Shachar, it simply means Crescent Moon, son of the
Morning Star or the Dawn—or in simpler terms, a crescent moon with a star lingering
over it. Of course, this has come to be the very symbol of Islam.

Nearly every Islamic flag carries this symbol; as does nearly every mosque brandish
this symbol on the pinnacle of its dome and/or its minarets. Consider the implications
of this then: the very description that the Bible uses to describe S.a.tan, Islam
applies to itself.

Isaiah 3:18: “In that day Yahweh will take away the finery of their jingling ornaments
around their feet, and their headbands, and their crescent shaped ornaments, ".

The NIV has this: "In that day Yahweh will snatch away their finery: the bangles and
headbands and Crescent necklaces...”

The word Moon is translated from: #7720 saharon {sah-har-one'} 1) moon,

crescent, as ornament.

Other places this is found:

Judges 8:21: "Then Tzevah and Tzalmunna said, Rise thou, and fall upon us: for
as the man [is, so is] his strength. And Gideon arose, and slew Zebah and
Tzalmunna, and took away the ornaments that [were] on their camels' necks".

Judges 8:26: "And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was a
thousand and seven hundred [shekels] of gold; beside ornaments, and collars,
and purple raiment that [was] on the kings of Midian, and beside the chains that
[were] about their camels' necks".

What about this?

History seems to indicate that after the Babylonian captivity that the First Visible
Crescent was sighted.

The sighting was then checked and verified by a great assembly, which was the
forerunner of the Sanhedrin.

Was this the way they observed the New Moon before the Exile?

We have not found any evidence to show it.

The fact is there are few references to a calendar before the Exile.

The only proof we have is the history recorded by the Pharisees who are the
Orthodox Jewish Rabbis of today.

The next problem we have is that while in Babylon the leaders may have taken
on more than just the Babylonian names for the months.

The fact is, as the Scriptures themselves reveal, the Israelites were influenced
by the people around them.

The Saharon, which was probably made of metal and had the form of a
Crescent, i.e., the Crescent Moon.

It was worn by women (Isaiah 3:18), and by kings (Judges 8:26), and tied to
the necks of camels (Judges 8:21) to protect them from the Evil Eye.

"The Crescent was a favourite amulet among many peoples of Western Asia,
and it represented to them the strength and protection of the waxing and not
the waning moon" (Budge, pg. 213).

"Before Yaakov went to Bethel to present himself before Yahweh he made all
his people to hand over to him their "strange elohim" and ear-rings (i.e.,
Crescent-shaped amulets), and he hid them under the oak which was in
Schechem (Genesis 35:4)" (Budge, pg. 214).

Of these references, the Scriptural evidence is pre-Exodus with the exception of

Isaiah which talks of a time when the daughters of Yahrushalayim will have their
jewellery taken away including Crescents.

It is also interesting to note that the ancient Babylonians had an elohim;

they called "Mighty One", whose name was Sin, and whose symbol was that of
a Crescent.

"The Babylonian Moon-deity Sin (su'e) stands in a Crescent-Moon, his symbol.

Agate Neo-Babylonian seal c. 7th - 6th century B.C." (The Illustrated Bible
Dictionary, pg. 1023).

There is a word in Hebrew that means Crescent Moon, that word is Saharon
yare'akh.

The word Saharon is in The Scriptures, and refers to amulets as seen above.

But it is interesting that the Hebrew word for New Moon (Chodesh), and
Crescent Moon (Saharon yare'akh) are NOT the same!

If there was a word available to describe what Moon the New Moon is, and if
the New Moon was a Crescent, then why is NOT it used in The Scriptures?

We can see that the First Visible Crescent (waxing) is used by the neighbours of
Abraham, Isaac, and Yaakov, and their descendants, the Israelites, as a
protective amulet as well as "worshipped" as a deity.

If you read throughout The Scriptures, you will see that the Israelites followed
after these peoples and practice their idolatries.

Why else would Yahweh say that HE would take away their Crescents?

It seems very clear that it proves that the Crescent is NOT the New Moon, and
we find the evidence of Crescent-Moon "worship" very disturbing!

Would Yahweh link HIMSELF to pagan practices and rites?

Many begin the moon at the sighting of the crescent; however this is an Islamic
practice and not one of Scripture.

It is in my opinion that those who conform to and teach and accept the Crescent
Moon Doctrine are practicing Islam in its early form and could be in risk of taking the
Mark of the Beast or the name of Allah.

The Renewed Moon as its better known as, is Dark and cannot be seen in the
brilliance of the sun.

The First day it builds from the “Zero-Point”, when the moon is centered between the
earth and the sun.

If you don’t begin at Zero, the Moon will be waning on your count to the feasts, which
occur on the 15th Day of the 1st and 7th Months, and thus breaking these annual
Shabbats if taking the sighting of the crescent moon.

The Archaeology of the Middle East

The religion of Islam has as its focus of worship a deity by the name of "Allah." The
Muslims claim that Allah in pre-Islamic times was the biblical elohim of the
Patriarchs, prophets, and apostles.

The issue is thus one of continuity. Was "Allah" the biblical elohim or a pagan elohim
in Arabia during pre- Islamic times? The Muslim's claim of continuity is essential to
their attempt to convert Jews and Christians for if "Allah" is part of the flow of divine
revelation in Scripture, then it is the next step in biblical religion.

Thus we should all become Muslims. But, on the other hand, if Allah was a pre-
Islamic pagan deity, then its core claim is refuted. Religious claims often fall before
the results of hard sciences such as archaeology.

We can endlessly speculate about the past or go and dig it up and see what the
evidence reveals. This is the only way to find out the truth concerning the origins of
Allah.

As we shall see, the hard evidence demonstrates that the elohim Allah was a pagan
deity. In fact, he was the Moon-elohim who was married to the sun elohim and the
stars were his daughters.

Archaeologists have uncovered temples to the Moon-elohim throughout the Middle

East. From the mountains of Turkey to the banks of the Nile, the most wide-spread
religion of the ancient world was the worship of the Moon-elohim.

In the first literate civilization, the Sumerians have left us thousands of clay tablets in
which they described their religious beliefs. As demonstrated by Sjoberg and Hall,
the ancient Sumerians worshipped a Moon-elohim who was called many different
names.

The most popular names were Nanna, Suen and Asimbabbar. His symbol was the
crescent moon. Given the amount of artefacts concerning the worship of this Moon-
elohim, it is clear that this was the dominant religion in Sumeria.

The cult of the Moon-elohim was the most popular religion throughout ancient
Mesopotamia. The Assyrians, Babylonians, and the Akkadians took the word Suen
and transformed it into the word Sin as their favourite name for the Moon-elohim. As
Prof. Potts pointed out, "Sin is a name essentially Sumerian in origin which had been
borrowed by the Semites.”

In ancient Syria and Canna, the Moon-elohim Sin was usually represented by the
moon in its crescent phase. At times the full moon was placed inside the crescent
moon to emphasize all the phases of the moon.

The sun-elohim was the wife of Sin and the stars were their daughters. For example,
Istar was a daughter of Sin. Sacrifices to the Moon-elohim are described in the Pas
Shamra texts.

In the Ugaritic texts, the Moon-elohim was sometimes called Kusuh. In Persia, as
well as in Egypt, the Moon- elohim is depicted on wall murals and on the heads of
statues.

He was the Judge of men and elohim. The Tanak constantly rebuked the worship of
the Moon-elohim (see: Deut. 4:19;17:3; II Kings. 21:3,5; 23:5; Jer. 8:2; 19:13;

Zeph. 1:5, etc.) When Israel fell into idolatry, it was usually the cult of the Moon-
elohim. As a matter of fact, everywhere in the ancient world, the symbol of the
crescent moon can be found on seal impressions, steles, pottery, amulets, clay
tablets, cylinders, weights, earrings, necklaces, wall murals, etc.

In Tell-el-Obeid, a copper calf was found with a crescent moon on its forehead. An
idol with the body of a bull and the head of man has a crescent moon inlaid on its
forehead with shells.

In Ur, the Stela of Ur-Nammu has the crescent symbol placed at the top of the
register of elohim because the Moon-elohim was the head of the elohim. Even bread
was baked in the form of a crescent as an act of devotion to the Moon-elohim. The
Ur of the Chaldees was so devoted to the Moon-elohim that it was sometimes called
Nannar in tablets from that time period.

A temple of the Moon-elohim has been excavated in Ur by Sir Leonard Woolley. He

dug up many examples of moon worship in Ur and these are displayed in the British
Museum to this day.

Harran was likewise noted for its devotion to the Moon-elohim. In the 1950's a major
temple to the Moon-elohim was excavated at Hazer in Palestine. Two idols of the
moon elohim were found. Each was a stature of a man sitting upon a throne with a
crescent moon carved on his chest .

The accompanying inscriptions make it clear that these were idols of the Moon-
elohim. Several smaller statues were also found which were identified by their
inscriptions as the "daughters" of the Moon-elohim.

What about Arabia? As pointed out by Prof. Coon, "Muslims are notoriously loath to
preserve traditions of earlier paganism and like to garble what pre-Islamic history
they permit to survive in anachronistic terms."

During the nineteenth century, Amaud, Halevy and Glaser went to Southern Arabia
and dug up thousands of Sabean, Minaean, and Qatabanian inscriptions which were
subsequently translated. In the 1940's, the archeologists G. Caton Thompson and
Carleton S. Coon made some amazing discoveries in Arabia.

During the 1950's, Wendell Phillips, W.F. Albright, Richard Bower and others
excavated sites at Qataban, Timna, and Marib (the ancient capital of Sheba).
Thousands of inscriptions from walls and rocks in Northern Arabia have also been
collected.

Reliefs and votive bowls used in worship of the "daughters of Allah" have also been
discovered. The three daughters, al-Lat, al-Uzza and Manat are sometimes depicted
together with Allah the Moon-elohim represented by a crescent moon above them.
The archaeological evidence demonstrates that the dominant religion of Arabia was
the cult of the Moon-elohim.

In Old Testament times, Nabonidus (555-539 BC), the last king of Babylon, built
Tayma, Arabia as a center of Moon-elohim worship. Segall stated, "South Arabia's

stellar religion has always been dominated by the Moon-elohim in various
variations." Many scholars have also noticed that the Moon-elohim's name "Sin" is a
part of such Arabic words as "Sinai," the "wilderness of Sin," etc.

When the popularity of the Moon-elohim waned elsewhere, the Arabs remained true
to their conviction that the Moon-elohim was the greatest of all elohim. While they
worshipped 360 elohim at the Kabah in Mecca, the Moon-elohim was the chief deity.
Mecca was in fact built as a shrine for the Moon-elohim.

This is what made it the most sacred site of Arabian paganism. In 1944, G. Caton
Thompson revealed in her book, The Tombs and Moon Temple of Hureidha, that she
had uncovered a temple of the Moon-elohim in southern Arabia.

The symbols of the crescent moon and no less than twenty-one inscriptions with the
name Sin were found in this temple. An idol which may be the Moon-elohim himself
was also discovered. This was later confirmed by other well-known archaeologists.

The evidence reveals that the temple of the Moon-elohim was active even in the
Christian era. Evidence gathered from both North and South Arabia demonstrates
that Moon-elohim worship was clearly active even in Muhammad's day and was still
the dominant cult.

According to numerous inscriptions, while the name of the Moon-elohim was Sin, his
title was al- ilah, i.e. "the deity," meaning that he was the chief or high elohim among
the elohim. As Coon pointed out, "The elohim Il or Ilah was originally a phase of the
Moon Elohim." The Moon-elohim was called al- ilah, i.e. the elohim, which was
shortened to Allah in pre-Islamic times.

The pagan Arabs even used Allah in the names they gave to their children. For
example, both Muhammad's father and uncle had Allah as part of their names.

The fact that they were given such names by their pagan parents proves that Allah
was the title for the Moon-elohim even in Muhammad's day. Prof. Coon goes on to
say, "Similarly, under Mohammed's tutelage, the relatively anonymous Ilah, became
Al-Ilah, The Elohim, or Allah, the Supreme Being."

This fact answers the questions, "Why is Allah never defined in the Qur'an? Why did
Muhammad assume that the pagan Arabs already knew who Allah was?"
Muhammad was raised in the religion of the Moon-elohim Allah.

But he went one step further than his fellow pagan Arabs. While they believed that
Allah, i.e. the Moon-elohim, was the greatest of all elohim and the supreme deity in a
pantheon of deities, Muhammad decided that Allah was not only the greatest elohim
but the only elohim.

In effect he said, "Look, you already believe that the Moon-elohim Allah is the
greatest of all elohim. All I want you to do is to accept that the idea that he is the only
elohim. I am not taking away the Allah you already worship. I am only taking away
his wife and his daughters and all the other elohim."

This is seen from the fact that the first point of the Muslim creed is not, "Allah is
great" but "Allah is the greatest," i.e., he is the greatest among the elohim. Why
would Muhammad say that Allah is the "greatest" except in a polytheistic context?

The Arabic word is used to contrast the greater from the lesser. That this is true is
seen from the fact that the pagan Arabs never accused Muhammad of preaching a
different Allah than the one they already worshipped.

This "Allah" was the Moon-elohim according to the archaeological evidence.

Muhammad thus attempted to have it both ways. To the pagans, he said that he still
believed in the Moon-elohim Allah.

To the Israelites, he said that Allah was their Elohim too. But the Israelites knew
better and that is why they rejected his elohim Allah as a false elohim.

Al-Kindi, one of the early Christian apologists against Islam, pointed out that Islam
and its elohim Allah did not come from the Bible but from the paganism of the
Sabeans.

They did not worship the Elohim of the Bible but the Moon-elohim and his daughters
al-Uzza, al-Lat and Manat. Dr. Newman concludes his study of the early Christian-
Muslim debates by stating, "Islam proved itself to be...a separate and antagonistic
religion which had sprung up from idolatry."

Islamic scholar Caesar Farah concluded "There is no reason, therefore, to accept

the idea that Allah passed to the Muslims from the Christians and Israelites." The
Arabs worshipped the Moon-elohim as a supreme deity.

But this was not monotheism. While the Moon-elohim was greater than all other
elohim, this was still a polytheistic pantheon of deities. Now that we have the actual
idols of the Moon-elohim, it is no longer possible to avoid the fact that Allah was a
pagan elohim in pre-Islamic times.

Is it any wonder then that the symbol of Islam is the crescent moon? That a crescent
moon sits on top of their mosques and minarets? That a crescent moon is found on
the flags of Islamic nations? That the Muslims fast during the month which begins
and ends with the appearance of the crescent moon in the sky?

The pagan Arabs worshipped the Moon-elohim Allah by praying toward Mecca
several times a day; making a pilgrimage to Mecca; running around the temple of the
Moon-elohim called the Kabah; kissing the black stone; killing an animal in sacrifice
to the Moon-elohim; throwing stones at the devil; fasting for the month which begins
and ends with the crescent moon; giving alms to the poor, etc.

The Muslim's claim that Allah is the Elohim of the Bible and that Islam arose from the
religion of the prophets and apostles is refuted by solid, overwhelming
archaeological evidence.

Islam is nothing more than a revival of the ancient Moon-elohim cult. It has taken the
symbols, the rites, the ceremonies, and even the name of its elohim from the ancient

pagan religion of the Moon-elohim. As such, it is sheer idolatry and must be rejected
by all those who follow the Torah and Gospel.

My question would have to be why would Israel begin its months the same way as
Islam?

Fact is that there is absolutely NO SCRIPTURAL EVIDENCE at all that a month

begins at the sighting of the crescent moon.

This is the famous picture of “Our Lady of Gaudelupe.” What you see here is Mary, the very symbol of
the Catholic Church being held up by the crescent moon. The symbol of Lucifer, not of Messiah.

Here is a monstrance; this is the vessel that once the catholic priest blesses wafer or sacrament, he then
places the wafer into this vessel. Catholics believe this wafer to be the actual body of Christ transformed
by the priest. What is important is what is holding “the body of Christ” It is none other than the crescent
moon.

moon with stars over her head., it is the crescent moon that supports her and it is holding her up above

The Mormon Temple in Salt Lake City is covered with Luciferian symbolism. In fact, the round windows
were purposely made to create “crescent moons” as the sun passes over throughout the day. Below the
“Crescent Moon” windows are inverted stars.

Freemasons, one of the oldest secret societies whose origins can be dated back to Babylon itself also utilize
the symbols of the crescent moon and morning star. This is a rare silver pendent from 1850, note the
crescent moon.

The Shriners, which to join you must attain the level of 32 degree Mason, is steeped in Islamic / Middle
Eastern symbolism. Their crest or logo is an inverted crescent moon with a star inside of it. Now the
Shriners claim that these are “claws” and not a crescent moon, but we need to remember who we are
dealing with, Lucifer the great deceiver. He hides in plain site and yet no one sees him.

Here are some famous Shriners, all 32 Degree Masons, with the Crescent Moon and Morning
Star sitting upon their forehead as the Fezz (their hat) is being be properly worn.

Note all the countries with the Crescent Moons and Morning Stars. These countries
are also Muslim countries that worship Allah, another form of Baal / Lucifer Worship.
Their flags proclaim the deity their country aligns themselves too.

Here you can see that the enemy has done a good job of hiding himself once again
in plain sight.

Islamic Countries & Facts

A quick search on the internet revels other companies with a crescent moon and star
logo, there are hundreds of them out there.

Rav Shaul (Apostle Paul) told us about the Bereans who did not take him at face
value; instead they searched the scriptures to see if what he said stood up to the
Word of Yahweh. If they did, they would accept what he stated as true, but if they did
not, they did not accept his words.

Act 17:11 (KJV) these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they
received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the Scriptures daily,
whether those things were so.

We are all watchmen on the wall, we must use solid discernment that Yahweh gave
us, but all of that starts by us knowing and fully understanding what Yahweh’s Word
really says. I don’t have the answers to everything, but I know where to get them,
they are found in Yahweh’s Kadosh Word.

Brothers and Sisters, we are living in the last days of the last days. The enemy is
massing his army and followers; that is a fact. The one common thing is that all of
them associate themselves with is his name, Heylel Ben Shachar, Lucifer son of the
Morning. The Crescent Moon and Morning Star.

The followers of Baal have many names for their elohim and soon all of them will
wake up and realize that they all worship their “one true elohim.” They will realize
that they have done this throughout the ages.

When the light bulb goes off they will realizes that “one true elohim” is Lucifer, not
Yahweh. When they realize that, it will be open hunting season for Jews, Israelites
and Christians’.

We know that this is a fact because scripture tells us of the millions of martyrs during
the tribulation. You know what I am pointing out is true, even today you see Lucifer’s
name emerging everywhere in the world.

It is time that the watchmen wake up and sound the

shofar. The followers of Lucifer surround us and they

The teachings of Baal (the lord) the mother of all harlots

a push for global pluralism. An event will cause the

unite under one man known to us as the antimessiah. He will be Lucifer himself,

Now, I know that there are some of you thinking that I have gone off the deep end,
but this is a fact what scripture says. One cannot ignore it, nor can one say” oh that
is just your interpretation.

Brethren, it does not say the Catholic Church, nor the New Age as many of us have
been taught. The evidence is there, Lucifer son of the Morning has been hiding right
before our very eyes and we did not see him.

Whenever we see Islam we see the devil before our very eyes.

He is Heylel Ben Shachar, Lucifer son of the Morning. He will demand the worship of
many. Yet today, many already worship him at his feet but under many names. Soon
they will realize who their one true elohim is and then join him working to stamp out
his enemies.

There are some whom say that Yahshua’s return cannot be predicted and that a
crescent moon cannot be predicted.

The theory that a crescent moon cannot be predicted is in my opinion not strong
enough evidence as a crescent moon can be predicted, Yahshua HaMoshiach knew
this long before our time.

Besides this fact if we look at the scriptures it clearly states that the elements of the
Shamayim (Heavens) will melt at His appearing.

Joel 2:10

10 The earth shall quake before them; the shamayim shall tremble: the sun and the
moon shall be darkened, and the cochavim shall withdraw their shining:

Job 25:1-5

1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

3 Is there any number to His armies? And on whom does not His light arise?

4 How then can a man be justified with El? Or, how can he be clean that is born of a

5 See even the moon, shines not; yes, the cochavim are not pure in His sight.

Job 25:5 Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not - Or, behold even the moon
shineth not. That is, in comparison with Yahweh it is dark and obscure. The idea is, that the
most beautiful and glorious objects become dim and fade away when compared with him. So
Jerome renders it, Ecce luna etiam non splendet. The word here rendered “shineth” (‫יאהיל‬
ya'âhalîyl) frequently means to pitch or remove a tent, and is a form of the word ‫' אהל‬ôhel
uniformly rendered tent or tabernacle. Some have supposed that the meaning here is, that
even the moon and the stars of heaven - the bright canopy above - were not fit to furnish a
tent or dwelling for Yahweh. But the parallelism seems to demand the usual interpretation,
as meaning that the moon and stars faded away before Yahweh. The word ‫„ אהל‬ôhel derives
this meaning, according to Gesenius, from its relation to the word ‫ הלל‬hâlal, to be clear or
brilliant, from the mutual relation of the ‫ פא‬and ‫ עע‬verbs. The Arabic has the same meaning.
Yea, the stars are not pure in his sight - That is, they are not bright in comparison with
him. The design is to show the glory of the Most High and that nothing could be compared
with him; see the notes at Job_4:18.

are hard to understand, which they that are unlearned and unstable twist, as they do

Revelation 8:12

12 And the fourth heavenly malach sounded, and a third part of the sun was smitten,
and a third part of the moon, and a third part of the cochavim; so that a third of
them were darkened, and a third part of both day and night did not shine.

Revelation 21:23

23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the
tifereth of Yahweh did brighten it, and the Lamb is the Light of it.

So the sighting of the crescent moon cannot or even a dark moon be used as
an argument concerning the coming of Yahshua, as according to scripture the
moon will not shine.

Question & Answers

Q. Why don’t you go with Jerusalem observance of the new moon for unity’s sake?

A. If the new moon was seen a day earlier in another part of the country, which does
sometimes happen, then the brethren in that area would be in disobedience by not
keeping the Appointed Times as they should. Yahshua’s statement in the Brit
Chadasha addressing the idea of worship not being in Jerusalem alone is revealing:

John 4:21-24.

21 Yahshua said to her, Woman, believe Me, the hour comes, when you shall
neither in this mountain, nor at Yahrushalayim, worship the Abba.

22 You worship you know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is from
the Yahudim.

23 But the hour comes, and now is, when the emet worshippers shall worship the
Abba in Ruach and in Emet: for the Abba seeks such to worship Him.

24 Eloah is Ruach: and they that worship Him must worship Him in Ruach and in
Emet.

The temple was destroyed in 70 A.D. and worship now is where two or more meet
together: For where two or three are gathered together in my Name, there am I in the
midst of them, Matthew 18:20.

His people have His Ruach/Spirit within them, 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19; 2
Corinthians 6:16. Since we are spread out across the world, we do our best to
come together in obedience to His commands to meet and worship together.

And Yahweh spake unto Moshe, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say
unto them, concerning the feasts of Yahweh, which ye shall proclaim to be holy
convocations, even these are my feasts.

Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy
convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of Yahweh in all your
dwellings.

These are the feasts of Yahweh, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in
their seasons,

Leviticus 23:1-4.

The command of keeping a “holy convocation” literally means that we are to be

meeting together to keep any of Yahweh’s commanded moeds (Appointed Times).

In the future Kingdom it will be in Jerusalem (Isaiah 66:23; Zechariah 14:16), but for
now we do the best we can with Yahweh and Yahshua’s help, in Spirit and in Truth.

Q. What if I travel to a different county to keep the Feast of Tabernacles, will I need
to still observe the biblical calendar according to my region?

A. Sometimes it’s best to answer a question with a question. If one was to travel to a
different country would they keep the 7th day Sabbath according to their own region
or the region that they come into?

The answer would obviously be the region that they came into, and it would be the
answer to any other Appointed Times. The weekly Sabbath is from sundown to
sundown on the seventh day wherever you may be.
