Abstract
Risk factors that can cause diarrheal disease are environmental factors, behavioral
factors in the community, low public knowledge about diarrhea and malnutrition.
Examples of poor environmental factors such as unqualified sanitation conditions
and inadequate clean water infrastructure facilities. The purpose of this study was to
find out the risk factors of diarrhea related to the environment with the incidence of
malnutrition in toddlers in the working area of The Health Center Nambo Kota
Kendari in 2019 (case study of Bajo and Non-Bajo tribes). Sampling method with
purposive sampling system. The results showed that, there is no relationship
between the source of clean water and the incidence of malnutrition in toddlers Bajo
and Non Bajo tribe with pValue = 0.115, there is a relationship between family latrines
and malnutrition events in toddlers Bajo and Non Bajo tribe with pValue = 0.000,
there is a relationship between wastewater disposal facilities and the incidence of
malnutrition in toddlers Bajo and Non Bajo with pValue = 0.000 , and there is a
relationship between waste disposal facilities and malnutrition events in toddlers
Bajo and Non Bajo tribe with pValue = 0.004. there is no relationship between clean
water sources and malnutrition events in bajo and non bajo tribe toddlers and there
is a relationship between family latrines, wastewater disposal facilities, waste
disposal facilities with malnutrition events in bajo and non bajo toddlers in the
working area of Puskesmas Nambo Kota Kendari in 2019 case studies of Bajo and Non
Bajo tribes).
