Ask Your Pharmacist Campaign (AYP)
Call for trainers
IPSF EMRO is considering carrying out Ask Your Pharmacist Campaign (AYP) regionally to
meet the pharmacy students’ needs for improving clinical skills and expanding public
health educational issues all over the region.

The AYP aims to general population and it will engage the major health issues:
Hypertension, Diabetes and Arthritis which all international health bodies care about.
Thereby the expected outcomes are revolving around circulating the information
between the health care providers and patients of concern.

The nature of ideal AYP has been designed to take a professional image of providing
information ,patient counseling skills and other health related issues , the campaign will
take place in two cities/states of each member country and last for four days within the
time frame: mid of march 2011 to mid of June 2011.

According to AYP’s guideline, IPSF is seeking to recruit two trainers in each participated
country who will have to fulfill the following tasks:

1. Training the volunteers of AYP to be able to make patient counseling with

patients of hypertension, diabetes mellitus.
2. Be available in the event for evaluating and supervising the patient counseling
process.
3. Providing health consultation to the patients during the campaign when deemed
necessary.
4. Ensuring that all flyers and brochures contain accurate and legible information.

Anyone having the following requirements will have the priority to be recruited as a AYP
trainer:
1. Licensed pharmacist or clinical pharmacist working in hospital, community
pharmacy or national/international health organization.
2. Having excellent communication skills and leading skills.
