Pengaruh Health Education Metode Demonstrasi Terhadap Keterampilan
Cuci Tangan Pada Anak Usia Sekolah Di SDN Kaligoro Kecamatan Kutorejo Kabupaten Mojokerto

Kebiasaan menjaga kebersihan diri dengan mencuci tangan sering dianggap
menjadi hal sepele dan kurangnya perhatian oleh masyarakat terutama anak-anak. Hal ini disebabkan kurangnya pengetahuan tentang cara mencuci tangan yang benar dengan menggunakan sabun dan air mengalir, sehingga diperlukan adanya edukasi untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan tindakan cuci tangan yang benar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh health education metode demonstrasi terhadap keterampilan cuci tangan pada anak usia sekolah. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan pra eksperimental dengan pendekatan one group pretest-post test design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas 4-6 di SDN Kaligoro Kecamatan Kutorejo Kabupaten Mojokerto yang berjumlah 44 anak. Teknik sampling penelitian ini adalah total sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 44 orang. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner dalam bentuk ceklist observasi. Analisa data menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah responden yang mengalami peningkatan keterampilan mencuci tangan sebanyak 19 responden (43,2%), sedangkan yang ties (tetap) sebanyak 25 responden (56,8%) yang terdiri dari 7 responden (15,9%) tetap tidak terampil dan 18 responden tetap terampil (40,9%). Hasil analisa Uji Wilcoxon didapatkan p value sebesar 0,000 kurang dari α (0,05) sehingga H1 diterima yang artinya ada pengaruh health education metode demonstrasi terhadap keterampilan mencuci tangan di SDN Kaligoro Kecamatan Kutorejo Kabupaten Mojokerto. Dalam metode demonstrasi diharapkan setiap langkah pembelajaran dari hal-hal yang dimetode demonstrasikan itu dapat dilihat dengan mudah oleh anak sekolah dan melalui prosedur yang benar dan dapat pula dimengerti materi yang diajarkan.

The Effect of Health Education Demonstration Method on Handwashing
Skills in School-Age Children at Kaligoro Elementary School Subdistrict Kutorejo, Mojokerto Regency

The habit of maintaining personal hygiene by washing hands is often
considered a trivial matter and a lack of attention by the community, especially children. This is due to a lack of knowledge about how to wash hands properly using soap and running water, so education is needed to increase knowledge and correct hand washing actions. This study aims to determine the effect of health education demonstration method on hand washing skills in school-age children. The design of this study used a pre-experimental approach with a one group pretest-post test design approach. The population in this study was all students in grades 4-6 at Kaligoro Elementary School, Kutorejo District, Mojokerto Regency, totaling 44 children. The sampling technique of this research was total sampling. The sample in this study was as many as 44 people. The research instrument used a questionnaire in the form of an observation checklist. Data analysis used Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results suggested that the number of respondents who experienced an increase in hand washing skills was 19 respondents (43.2%), while the ties (fixed) were 25 respondents (56.8%) consisting of 7 respondents (15.9%) still not skilled and 18 respondents remained skilled (40.9%). The results of the Wilcoxon test analysis obtained a p value of 0.000 less than (0.05) so that H1 was accepted, which means that there is an effect of health education demonstration method on hand washing skills at Kaligoro Elementary School, Kutorejo District, Mojokerto Regency. In the demonstration method, it is hoped that every step of learning from the things that are demonstrated can be seen easily by school children and through the correct procedure and the material being taught can also be understood.
