careful selection of more than one location for
introducing stress relieving feature is more beneficial
than choosing only one. Stress reductions by means of
introducing stress reliving features with a combination of
elliptical and circular holes are found to be better. The
elliptical stress relief feature have better control over
changing the stress redistribution pattern as it has more
parameters (two axes and orientation) to redistribute the
stress, over circular stress relief feature.
