saw Adam “Edge” Copeland.
Back then, he was still known as
Sexton Hardcastle and he main-
evented an independent show at
the Western Fair in London,

have been one of the most enduring images
of 2010. He had just cashed in his Money in
the Bank title shot, reversed Orton’s attempt
at an RKO and hit the Skull Crushing Finale.
As realization that he had won the title set in,
Miz pounded the mat. Moments later, with tears
in his eyes, he raised the championship belt
above his head. All the doubters, all the nay-
sayers, all of those who had told him he would
never amount to anything had been silenced.
It has been almost six months since the night
that Miz became champion. Many expected he
might drop the title at the Royal Rumble back to
Orton. More expected John Cena to walk out of
Wrestlemania with the championship, at the


expense of the Miz.
Instead, as of this writing, the Miz
remains the WWE Champion. He
made the rounds on the talk show
circuit and dubbed himself “the Most
Watched Champion in WWE
History.”
However, as Wrestlemania came to a close, it
wasn’t the Miz who stood tall. It was the Rock,
who was acting as the Host of Wrestlemania.

drinking, finger flipping guy, that’s not a hero. I
would not want my son to imitate that at all.

you anticipating they firmly

direction?
TD – Well I can’t say. This is
something I don’t take any
credit for, but I know in the
time I was back there in an
advisory role it was one of the
things I said to them. I know in
the United States that the top
grossing movies are not big
blockbuster feature films. The
movies that are making the
most money at the box office
are animated children’s
features. These cartoon
movies, Madagascar is one
that comes to mind and there’s
so many more that are coming
out. Now, it’s like every two or
three months you’re seeing an
animated movie coming out
and you’re seeing big name
stars involved. You’re seeing
stars who you’d never thought
would lend their voice to a
cartoon character doing it.
Why are they doing that? I’ll
tell you why, because they’re
making more money on that
animated feature than they are
in some of their movies. It’s
one of the things I told the
WWE, last time I checked;

and a handful of matches suffered changes in
the weeks leading up to the event, including
the Sakara and Riviera match that was pulled
altogether when Sakara went down with

events where great fights manage to save
