How great the wisdom and the love that filled the courts on high
And sent the Savior from above to suffer, bleed, and die!
He marked the path and led the way, and ev’ry point defines
To light and life and endless day where God’s full presence shines.
Even As He Is
(MURPHY FAMILY)
I lived in heaven a long time ago, it is true;
Lived there and loved there with people I know. So did you.
Then Heavenly Father presented a beautiful plan,
All about earth and eternal salvation for man.
We believe that through the atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved by obedience
to the laws and ordinances of the gospel.
The events of that first Easter make it possible for every man to be resurrected. But
resurrection is not enough. Exaltation, often referred to as eternal life, should be our
ultimate goal.
The path to eternal life is clearly outlined in the scriptures and is central to all our
teachings. It includes making and receiving sacred covenants including those made in the
temple. Doctrine and Covenants 14:7 tells us, “And, if you keep my commandments and
endure to the end you shall have eternal life, which gift is the greatest of all the gifts of
God.”
Christ’s sacrifice is wasted if we settle only for resurrection. His mortal ministry had
more purpose than simply to lead to His death and resurrection. During his time on earth,
He taught us by a perfect example the way to achieve eternal life. By studying the
teachings and actions of the Savior during his mortal ministry, we can become “Even as
He is.”

John 21:15-17
So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me
more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith
unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas,
lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith
unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest
thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me?
And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus
saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
Dear to the heart of the Shepherd, Dear are the sheep of his fold;
Dear is the love that He gives them, Dearer than silver or gold.
Dear to the heart of the Shepherd, Dear are his other lost sheep;
Over the mountains he follows, Over the waters so deep.
Dear to the heart of the Shepherd, Dear are the lambs of his fold.
Some from the pasture are straying, Hungry and helpless and cold.
See, the Good Shepherd is seeking, Seeking the lambs that are lost.
Bringing them in with rejoicing, Saved at such infinite cost.
Dear to the heart of the Shepherd, Dear are the “ninety and nine.”
Dear are the sheep that have wandered out in the desert to pine.
Hark! He is earnestly calling, Tenderly pleading today:
“Will you not seek for my lost ones, Off from my shelter astray?”
Green are the pastures inviting; Sweet are the waters and still.
Lord, we will answer thee gladly, “Yes, blessed Master, we will!
Make us thy true under-shepherds; Give us a love that is deep.
Send us out into the dessert, Seeking they wandering sheep.
Out in the dessert they wander. Hungry and helpless and cold.
Off to the resuce we’ll hasten, Bringing them back to the fold.
Feed My Lambs
(Fife Family)
We give thee but thine own, Whatever the gift may be,
For all we have is thine alone, A trust, O Lord, from thee.
May we thy bounty thus as stewards true receive,
And gladly, as though blessest us, To thee our first-fruits give.
To comfort and to bless, to find a balm for woe,
To tend the lone and fatherless is angels work below.
And we believe thy word, tho dim our faith may be;
Whatever we do for thine, O Lord, we do it unto thee.
Matthew 16:24-25
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself,
and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and
whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
Matthew 22:35-40
Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt
love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love
thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Matthew 11:28-30
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my
yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest
unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
“Come follow me,” the Savior said, Then let us in his footsteps tread,
For thus alone can we be one with God’s own loved, begotten Son.
“Come follow me,” a simple phrase, Yet truth’s sublime, effulgent rays
Are in these simple words combined to urge, inspire the human mind.
Moroni 10:32
Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness;
and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might,
mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect
in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the
power of God.
