HAPPY MOTHERS’ DAY!
On this very special day for the MOST SPECIAL
WOMAN in the heart of every child, we give our
mothers our love, prayers, gratitude, thoughtfulness and
hugs and kisses. Only God can truly define what a
mother is for He is the Giver of mothers. Here are some
beautiful thoughts for all mothers.

Mother’s Day Novena
A special Novena of Masses to honor all
mothers, living and deceased, begins this
Sunday on Mother’s Day. If you would like to
have someone special remembered during
these Masses, there are smaller envelopes
for deceased mothers and larger envelopes
with cards for living mothers. Both are found
in the vestibule.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be next
Saturday, May 14th, 8:45 a.m.−3:30 p.m. in the Daily
Chapel. There is a sign-up book available if you wish to
attend at a specific time.

The Almryde family would like to express our deep
appreciation for the support of our fellow parishioners
and the staff of St. Columba on the loss of our son, Paul.
Without your many kindnesses, it would have been
made more difficult. Father Mario’s Mass and sermon
will live in our hearts forever.
Religious Education & Youth News
We have welcomed 25 young adults into the final phase
of Confirmation preparation. Your prayers and support are
requested as they decide if this is the right thing for them
at this time. Confirmation will be Sunday, May 29th, at the
5:30 p.m. Mass.
We have finished remodeling the "Youth Room" in the
Ministry Center. Come and check it out. The Men's Club has
done a wonderful job, and we cannot even begin to express
our appreciation to each of the workers.
Youth Group is a year-round program. We meet on Sundays
from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the Ministry Center.
Religious education classes end on Sunday, May 15th.
Thank you to all the volunteer teachers for their devotion to
their students. God bless each of you. In July, pre-
registration packets will be mailed to all families that were
registered in the 2010-2011 school year. Registration will
begin in August for any new families interested in becoming
a part of the religious education program.
St. Columba School
Tuition Assistance Fund
There are new yellow envelopes in the pews designated
as St. Columba School Support. All donations will go
into a tuition assistance fund to help families provide a
Catholic education for their children. Your help will allow
more students to benefit from “the gift that lasts a
lifetime.” Thank you in advance for your support of this
worthwhile program.

ANCIENT ORDER OF HIBERNIANS: Every 2nd Wednesday

BIBLE SHARING (Sunday by Sunday): Monday mornings,
