Case- Study
One company ABC opens outlets from different model of
their dream car in the year 2000. The consumer response
was overwhelming. The bookings were mainly for the Ac
model X and Y. The X model accounted for more than 80%
of the booking.
ABC has planned to commence delivery of the
vehicle by early 2001. Meanwhile delivery schedules of
their Ac model were upset due to some problems on the
role of front. As per report in times in 2000 ABC official told
about delay that is non - availability of (Ac) accessories.
The Z limited supply (Ac) accessories for the X
model and K is the vendor Y for version. Incidentally Z
limited also supplies the Ac to NISSAN.
The ABC official alleged that Z limited is
creating pressure through the competitors to delay the
supply of (Ac) accessories. Now if suppose this continues,
we will be forced to ask K to supply Ac accessories for the
X version as well, our top official said.
Ques.1-Analyse the ethical issues involved in this case.
Ques.2- If you think that the eligation about the supplier is
right, justify it.

Summary:-
ABC Company is a automatic company and it is planning its
dream car. X and Y is the Ac model of the car and the car
response was very effective. ABC Company announced to
launch the vehicle in early 2001. But due to the supplying
of the Ac accessories by Z ltd to ABC is not proper so the
launching of the car is being delayed. As the Z is also a
vendor of NISSAN the competitor of ABC car and delay in
supply of the accessories is due to forcing of its competitor.
Finally the ABC officials decided to have accessories from K
limited.
Ques.1- The ethical issues presented in the case as follows,
1) The business ethic of ABC Company that delaying of Ac
accessories from Z limited is because of competitor
ship from Nissan as Nissan is forcing Z limited to delay
the delivery of Ac accessories. So the dis- honest
competitor ship is presented in this case.
2) ABC Company announced the launching of their
car in early 2001 but because of delay in accessories
they are unable to perform their commitment.
Ques.2- As per the case says the eligation about the
supplier is right because Z limited is the vendor of
accessories to ABC and NISSAN so they have to treat them
both equally limited is delaying the delivery to ABC under
the force of the NISSAN cause of the competitor ship and
ABC unable to perform their commitment to people.
