Re-Enrollment Info
Lorem Ipsum Dolor Spring 2012

Please
read
the
message
below
regarding
re‐enrollment
eligibility:

Beginning
the
week
of
May
9,
all
students
in
grades
3
–
11
will
be
taking
the
End‐
of‐Year
Scantron
Baseline
assessments
in
the
areas
of
Reading
and
Math.

Students
in
grades
K
–
2
will
be
taking
their
in‐class
end‐of‐year
assessments
that

covers
reading,
writing
and
math.

According
to
HTA
policy
approved
by
the
LSB
on
May
24,
2010,
students
will
be

placed
no
more
than
two
grade
levels
above
or
below
their
actual
grade
level.

Test
results
will
determine
students’
readiness
to
be
promoted
to
the
next
grade

level
curriculum.

Re‐enrollment
eligibility
is
determined
based
upon
whether

your
child
demonstrates
the
ability
to
perform
within
two
grade
levels
of
his/her

actual
grade
level.

For
example,
if
your
child
is
in
the
5th
grade
and
currently

progressing
through
the
3rd
grade
curriculum,
he/she
must
show
readiness
for

the
4th
grade
curriculum
as
an
incoming
6th
grader
in
order
to
be
re‐enrolled.

In
conjunction
with
Scantron
results,
the
minimum
requirement
regarding

curriculum
to
be
promoted
to
the
next
grade
level
is
85%
completion
in
all
subject

areas
by
May
20.
However,
in
order
to
progress
to
the
next
grade
level’s

curriculum,
the
additional
15%
must
be
completed
before
the
start
of
next
school

year
or
your
child
will
stay
on
current
level
curriculum
until
completed.

The
purpose
of
this
policy
is
to
ensure
the
success
of
all
HTA
students.
Given
the

nature
of
our
unique
hybrid
model,
students
must
demonstrate
a
certain
level
of

independence
and
ability
to
function
appropriately
in
a
classroom
with
grade‐
appropriate
peers.

Assessment
results
and
re‐enrollment
eligibility
will
be
shared
during
final
face‐to‐
face
conferences
held
the
week
of
May
23
–
27.

Thank
you,
