Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:

May 2011

Dear Pastor and Praying Friends

Thank you for your continued support and prayers. Spring is here, and we welcome the warm weather.

We are all doing well after a cold winter, and lately we have been able to travel out a little. We took our
teens in February to a Youth Conference; the preaching was great and really helped emphasize the point
to the teens that it is important for them as individuals to maint
maintain
ain a walk with God.

In May, I was able to attend a “Men of the Word Conference” hosted by my home church, and the food,
fellowship and preaching were great. Later on in April we were also able to attend our home churches
Missions Conference, it was good to see so many faithful faces.

Next week my family and I head to Calgary for another missions conference hosted by one of our
supporting churches, we are planning to possibly stay an extra day so my wife can visit her sister and neice
and nephew. Please pray for us as we travel, we hope the passes are good as we cross the Rockies.

We have had several first time visitors out at church, and are encouraged by that. Mary Kaipio brought
her daughter Natalie, a lady I grew up with (Doreen Sill) dropped in one Sunday with her aunt (Minnie
Hird). We were encouraged to be able to share the gospel with them. Please pray for Minnie as she cannot
read or write, and relies on Native traditions passed along to her, a mix of Spirituality and Catholicism.
Please pray for Trevor Ujiye as well, Trevor is an agnostic who invited me to his home to share the gospel
go
with him out of curiosity, so I had a great visit last Thursday, and made plans to meet him again this Friday.
Trevor works at a local mine, and works 4 on, 4 off, 12 hour shifts, so I have to wait till he is back on his
days off to see him. Trevor listened
stened intently, asked many reasonable, intelligent questions. We spent a lot
of time establishing who Christ is, we ran out of time as Trevor had other plans also,
also so Friday the plan is
to look at what Christ has done, and what that means to us. Please pray for Trevor.

We also had a great Youth Rally in April, on Easter weekend, as my home church and Berean Baptist
Church of Quesnel brought some 12 teens out to help us. We took them door kno knocking
cking on the edge of the
city where young legs are a big help to old tired feet, and we were able to cover a large area of community.
We went for a hike as well, so there were tired heads as they went home; I think we managed to wear the
teens down a little. We really
ly appreciated there help
help, as many doors received an invitation to church and a
gospel message that would have taken us muchmuch, much longer to do.

Thank you again for your continued suppo

support and prayers.

Your Servants in Christ
