CATHOLIC APPEAL UPDATE
Once again I want to thank you for a very
successful Catholic Appeal this year. In just five
weeks we went beyond our goal. The Diocese
has just advised us that families who have
previously given to Our Catholic Appeal but
have not yet made a commitment for 2011 will
soon receive a letter from Bishop Noonan
inviting their continued support. A pledge card
and envelope will be included with your letter; or you may pledge online at
http://www.catholicfoundationcfl.org/OCA. As you will know, these days
such lists are generated by computers and I’m always fearful that they may
be hurtful because they can be sent to people whose circumstances have
drastically changed - perhaps because they have lost a job or a family
member has died. If you are able to help the Appeal,

but if you cannot, please do not let the letter distress you. Just remember
the Diocese and the parish in your prayers.

Reinamei Luna, was Valedictorian of last year’s class from St.
Charles School, and is now a Freshman at Bishop Moore. Earlier
this year, she earned a Superior at the District Festival for her
Piano Solo, level Very Difficult 1. This earned her the
opportunity to compete at the state level last weekend of
the Florida Federation of Music Clubs, Inc. in Jacksonville,
Florida, where she was awarded First Place overall!

Between now and May 20, 20 the Diocese of Orlando is packing supplies such
as medicine, books and clothing that will be shipped to our Sister Diocese, Mrs. Agnew will be at the 5:00 pm Mass
San Juan de la Maguana in the Dominican Republic. Volunteers are needed and there will be a reception afterwards in
to help pack, sort and move boxes. Some of the volunteer work will be the school Social Hall where we will have
done at the Mission Office in downtown Orlando and some will take place an opportunity to thank her. All are
