releases the full effect of this process. Wet-clean drying is an
ideal preparation for the finish. Creasing is limited due to the
fabric-specific process technology and special equipment,
thus ultimately reducing the need for ironing to a minimum.

The Schulthess system is individually adjustable to the needs
of every user. Different options can be flexibly combined
based on individual preferences and needs. The possibilities
for in-house laundry care are expanded by a wide variety of
applications that previously had to be outsourced. For

innovative and tested disinfection programmes to meet these needs.

To offer support to those responsible for hygiene in commercial
laundry operations, Schulthess has further advanced the
temperature control of its industrial washing machines
by conducting extensive laboratory tests. Software develop-
ers and process technicians used the results of these
tests to develop new disinfection programmes. The new
programmes, in combination with RKI- and VAH-listed
detergents, offer protection and guarantee hygienically clean
and germ-free laundry. Additionally, individual, reliable,
customer-specific programmes can be developed with the
new temperature control system. Not least because of the
close cooperation with detergent suppliers and research
institutes, Schulthess has established itself as a leader in
providing professional disinfection programmes.

an effective treatment time of only 20 minutes. The inno­

With the new disinfect button Schulthess has further
simplified the use of the disinfection programmes for our
customers. The button is conveniently placed on the
control panel of the topLine and proLine washing machines
to quickly and easily select the disinfect cycle.

To enhance the established, finely differentiated basic
programmes with many practical options (prewash, express
wash, time preselection, temperature reduction, etc.)
Schulthess has further expanded the range of professional,
segment-specific programmes.
50 profiClean programmes for any need
The line now comprises a total of over 50 different profiClean
programmes tailor-made for five industry-specific segments:
special programs, restaurants / hotels, retirement and nursing
homes, commercial operations, and building cleaning
services / facility management.
New additions include the innovative programmes for
cleaning mops, for example, which more than satisfy the
stricter requirements of building cleaning.
These target group-specific programmes are specifically
designed to meet the needs of each individual user and range
from 20°C handwash to programmes for bath towels,
cleaning mops, bed linens and incontinence laundry, or the
disinfection of boil wash up to butchers’ aprons. Due to
their specific purpose, the firmly integrated programmes
provide maximum user benefit which far exceeds the
performance of standard washing machines. They can be
easily and quickly selected with the profiClean button.

Washing efficiently and quickly with
short programme times
Commercial and industrial laundries, in particular, have
to handle increasing volumes of laundry within the shortest
possible time. Schulthess is well aware of these growing
requirements and has therefore developed innovative
programmes and technical features (e.g., hot water connec-
tion, high heat capacity) to achieve superior washing and
drying results within a minimum of time. The best example
of this is the new vat-type design which is capable of
reducing energy and water consumptions by an additional
5 and 10%, respectively, and resulting in a positive effect
on operating cost and on the environment.
The optimal use of resources through modern technology
and the resulting decrease in operating cost is an area
where Schulthess has always set new standards. With its
innovative control system, the new Spirit topLine generation
also contributes to a further reduction in consumption.
Load sensor – an innovation in the Spirit topLine
A new optional feature of the Spirit topLine 8120 is an
intelligent integrated load sensor. It detects the weight of
the load at the start of the wash cycle based on which a
detergent dosage is recommended and the programme time
is automatically set. The load indicator offers several
advantages: it ensures a minimal use of water and energy
and prevents the machine from being overloaded. This, in
turn, guarantees maximum fabric care and protection.

Easy to load with a 180° opening angle
Optimal washing effect thanks to a larger drum
The reason why the Schulthess Spirit topLine machines now
work even faster, gentler and more efficiently is due, in
part, to the drum. Its above-average capacity provides more
room for the laundry to move, thus improving the washing
action and ensuring an optimal spin effect. In addition, the
higher capacity is a vital factor in the care of particularly
delicate fabrics because it reduces creasing.
From gentle to rigorous: fine drum
perforation with carriers
The drum of the Spirit topLine machines consists of high-
quality chrome nickel steel with exceptionally generous
perforation compared to the conventional models available
in the market. The ultra-fine drum perforation with up to
6831 holes significantly increases the efficiency of the
washing process and leads to excellent washing and rinsing
results. Maximum spin speeds of 1500 rpm provide an
above-average drainage effect, leaving a residual moisture
of only 43%. Even heavily soiled cleaning mops are thor­-
oughly rinsed out and any remaining dirt is fully removed
from the drum.
But that is not all: a total of three asymmetrically curved
carriers contribute to optimally soaking the laundry. The
intensity of the wash cycle can be adjusted, as needed, from
gentle (flat side) to rigorous (steep side).
TOPLINE WASHING MACHINES
Dosing made easy with the liquid
detergent connection
The Spirit topLine models can optionally be provided with a
connection for liquid detergent to control up to eight dosing
pumps. Upon request, the pumps are mounted on a special
rack (dosing pump rack) installed on the rear of the machine
so as to save space. This eliminates wall mountings and the
washing machines can be relocated as needed, regardless of
where they are located.

residual moisture of the laundry during the drying cycle.
The programme automatically shuts off when the selected
dryness level is reached. This means that the dryer runs only

Maximum energy efficiency due to
integrated heat recovery
Because of their intelligent design the Spirit proLine dryers
are exceptionally efficient. Fresh air is drawn in, in part,
through the side walls, preheated by waste heat and the heat
generated by motor, fan, drum, and exhaust air ducts and
additionally electrically heated. Due to the integrated heat
recovery system and insulation the process heat remains
in the machine and is not dissipated into the environment.
This significantly increases the drying efficiency and improves
the effectiveness.
The Spirit proLine dryers are additionally provided on the rear
with a central connection for fresh air or preheated air.
Therefore, these machines can be freely combined with heat
recovery systems or heat pumps according to your needs.
This is economically and ecologically beneficial and at the
same time it improves the indoor climate of the laundry room
because there is no heat dissipation from the dryer to warm
up the room.
