Map
of
Your
Work
Site
1. Identify
and
map
hazards
to
workers
on
your
job
site.
If
you
do
not
have
a
job,
you
may
use
the
school
or
a
work
site
of
your
choice.
2. Ask
employers
and
employees
what
hazards
you
might
find
in
there.
3. Ask
the
employer
what
the
organization
does
to
control
the
hazards
and
prevent
injuries
and
illnesses
to
workers.
4. If
they
list
the
effects
of
hazards
(e.g.
cuts,
burns)
try
to
get
them
to
say
what
would
cause
the
effect
(e.g.
knives,
hot
grills).
5. Make
sure
the
list
includes
health
hazards
as
well
as
safety
hazards.
6. On
a
large
sheet
of
paper
or
poster
board,
reconstruct
your
work
site
with
possible
hazards.
Draw
the
floor
plan
of
different
areas
of
the
workplace,
including
doors,
windows,
walls,
major
equipment
and
furniture,
etc.
Once
the
floor
plan
is
drawn,
indicate
where
the
potential
health
and
safety
hazards
are
by
circling
the
hazard,
writing
in
words,
or
using
symbols.
Using
visual
representations,
identify
the
hazard
and
the
category
of
the
hazard.
