SAMPLE QUESTION 1

An experiment was conducted to study the relationship of temperature of water and the time
taken for 2.0 g of sugar to dissolve in 50 cm3 of water. 2.0 g of sugar was added to 50 cm3
of water at 30 °C. At the same time, the stopwatch was started. A glass rod was used to stir
the mixture. The stopwatch was stopped as soon as the sugar was completely dissolved. The
same steps of experiment were repeated for water which was heated to 35°C, 40 °C, 45 °C
and 50 °C. Figure 1 shows the readings of the stopwatch at different temperatures….
