TESTIMONY ON Cheikh Ibrahima FALL BY THE MAA EL SHEIKH SHARIF

Maa El Sheikh Aynain, son of Mohamed Ibn El Fadel Maamin had written poems about
the wonderful qualities of exceptional Khadimou Rasul. However, for many years, he
was intrigued by the case of Ibra Fall and gossip about it. He then entered into "Khalwa"
to ask God to enlighten it. On leaving his retreat, he composed a poem which we publish
extensive excerpts:

THE PRECURSOR:
Companion the most famous but also the most misunderstood, Mame Cheikh Ibra Fall is
accepted by all as having played a crucial role with Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba, without
ever hitting the intransigence of the master on the fundamentals of Islam.
Born around 1860 in Ndiamby Fall, a village near Kebemer, this descendant of the royal
line of Cayor was lined with a fine scholar.
This not until the 1880s that after long peregrinations around the country Cheikh Ibra
finally found the master he was betting research. This 19th day of Ramadan is now
celebrated every year by his descendants.
In that time, Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba professed the Koran and religious sciences in the
