Re: RFQ for multiple waste incinerator for garbage, oily rags, waste oils
We are offering our model E-180 incinerator, conservatively rated, at 180 kg/hr of the specified
waste stream(liquid and solids combined), and rated to operate 12-16 hours per day. The
system is equipped for automatic feed and manual ash removal. The control system is fully
automatic and safety interlocked. A provision is provided for placing padlocks on the access
door(s). The system start switch and primary and secondary burner switches require a key to
operate. The incinerator doors are equipped with an electrical interlock that will prevent the
incinerator from starting unless both doors are closed. This interlock device will immediately
shut off the incinerator if either door is opened during the cycle. Waste reduction of
combustibles efficiency is 99% minimum. Fuel is diesel•• or kerosene and electric will be
supplied to match the local power grid, three phase power is required.
System meets EPA standards for smoke free operation & carbon monoxide emissons.
System meets World Bank and WHO emission standards.
Expected steady state fuel consumption without waste oil injector is approximately 18 liters
per hour. Expected steady state fuel consumption with waste oil injector is approximaetly 3
liters per hour.

INCINERATOR CHARGING
Load the incinerator “hopper” in such a manner as to limit the operational capacity to
180 kgs. per hour. The hopper should be loaded with an average of 45 kgs. of waste per 15
minute cycle. The auto charge sequence is set in motion by closing the hopper lid. The
loader will charge the incinerator when the charge timer times out and the temperature
interlocks are satisfied.
Mix different types of waste when possible. Avoid placing glass into the incinerator if
possible. If this is unavoidable, save waste which is known to contain glass waste for the
end of the operational day. This procedure will help prevent molten glass from adhering to
the refractory liner of the incinerator due to a buffer of ash between the glass and the
refractory liner.
CAUTION
Keep hands and other body parts clear of loader when hydraulic system is in operation.
INCINERATOR OPERATION
PANEL CONTROLS
The auto reverse sequence is initiated when the charge ram reaches the full extend
position.

MIST SPRAY
MIST SPRAYERS are cycled under the following conditions:
1) sprayers remain engaged for a timed cycle following the
closing of the fire door
2) 160° hopper temperature switch closes indicating a possible fire.
The operator will remove ashes from the incinerator. The operator closes the ash door and
secures the door with the hand wheel. The operator then switches the hydraulic system
switch to manual, opens the hopper lid, and switches the hydraulic system switch back to
auto.
The incinerator combustion air blower will start and begin the PURGE cycle.
During the PURGE cycle the combustion air operates for approximately three minutes
prior to lighting the incinerator secondary burner. The primary burner will not ignite until
the first load of waste is injected into the incinerator. The preheat cycle immediately
follows the purge cycle.
The INCINERATE lamp will illuminate after the preheat cycle and after the first load of
waste is injected into the incinerator.

The PRIMARY COMBUSTION AIR VALVE operates on a time delay following the
closing of the fire door after the charge. The primary air pressure may be manually
adjusted by moving the linkage of the flow control valve. This damper valve may be
initially set to provide 1.5” w.c. of manifold air pressure and may require an increase in
pressure for improved ash quality or a decrease in pressure for smoke control. The
primary combustion air valve closes when any access door is opened and during a low draft
situation.
The SECONDARY BURNER is of the full modulating type which modulates according to
the Mode of Operation switch position, see chart below. The secondary burner cycles off
one hour after the feed conveyor is switched off. The fuel/air mixture and rate of input is
continuously modulated to provide process heat as required to the secondary combustion
chamber to maintain the minimum exhaust temperature. This burner may cycle off
during the incineration process if the waste is generating sufficient heat to maintain
minimum temperatures.
The PRIMARY BURNER is of the full modulating type which modulates according to the
temperature of the primary chamber. The primary burner cycles off while the fire door is
open and for one minute following each charge of waste into the primary chamber. The
burner cycles off when any access door is opened and during a low draft situation.
SOLID WASTE CHARGING is locked out if any of the following conditions exist:
A. Primary chamber climbs above 1093°C.(2000°F.) (Primary high temperature lockout)
B. Secondary chamber climbs above 1093°C.(2000°F.) (Secondary high temperature
lockout)
C. Secondary chamber falls below 760°C. (1400°F). for a timed period.
D. Charge timer has not engaged.
E. Hydraulic pump controls in manual or off.
F. System is off line.

Both the primary burner and secondary burner have full modulation of fuel and combustion
air. Both burners operate in an identical manner. The main fuel is ignited by a proven
propane fueled pilot flame. The propane pilot flame is required for burning diesel or similar
fuel. The pilot flame is ignited by an electrical arc fired by the ignition electrode (spark plug)
installed on the burner housing. The electrical arc ignites the pilot. The flame is proven by
means of an ultra violet light scanner installed on the burner housing. The scanner can only
“see” the flame while the fuel valve is open.
The purple colored UV scanner device senses a flame signal to the Honeywell burner
controller installed in the control panel. The flame signal may be tested by inserting a DC
volt meter lead(s) into the positive(+) and negative(-) test jacks on the Honeywell flame
controller installed in the control panel. A steady signal of 1.25 vdc to 5.0 vdc is acceptable.
If a low signal is present (under 1.25vdc) or no signal is present. Check the appropriate
scanner relays for operation. Check wiring. Check the scanner eye for dirt (wipe only with
clean tissue, do not touch the eye.) Check for spark at the ignition electrode.
The combustion air is modulated from high to low fire with a Honeywell damper motor
coupled to a butterfly valve based on a 4-20mA analog signal originating in the PLC . The
gas is modulated from high to low fire with an air/gas ratio regulator cross connected to the
combustion air pressure tap on the burner and positioned in line with a metering gas orifice.
After the day’s waste is consumed, the operator switches the closes the hopper lid and
switches the hydraulic system to manual. Two hours after doing so, the burners will be
disabled. Two hours later the combustion air blower will cycle off. The incinerator system,
4 hours after the last load of waste is injected into the primary chamber is now off line.
The COOLING CYCLE lamp will illuminate the final 2 hours of operation.
