Senior Accountant & Human Resources Manager (2000 - 2006)
*Directs all financial reporting and treasury duties, heavy cash/cost management
for entire company, including A/R, A/P, G/L, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow stat
ements and custom internal reports for eight entities and owner assets totaling
over 1million square feet within the portfolio.
*Directs the 1099-MISC process and filing for all qualified vendors in portfolio
.
*Performs numerous fiduciary duties associated with management of company's 401K
, flexible spending account, as well as all health, life, accidental death and s
hort/long term disability plans.
*Acts as liaison to property insurance broker, streamlines financial communicati
ons with management/vendors
*Manages installation/maintenance of account payable Imaging Software.
*Coordinates/leads financial review sessions, HR/benefits presentations and vend
or relations efforts.
*Works closely with owner, CFO, VP, Managing Director, VP of Operations and Seni
or Property Manager to implement goals, policies, priorities and procedures and
to gain approval for business improvement.
*Ensures all accounting and financial reporting activities comply with GAAP, cor
porate and state regulations.
*Collaborates with external auditors in support of annual data gathering and aud
iting activities.
*Oversees HR functions and external HR service provider; and trains new hires.
*Manages all accounting software and database administration activities, includi
ng technical troubleshooting, software installations/upgrades and new technology
evaluations.
*Assists General Counsel with Real Estate Tax appeals processes and coordinates
payments for portfolio.
*Responsible for all the day to day operations of the Accounting department for
the last 4 years, with very little supervision.
*Manages all financial and HR functions of new business venture, retail store se
lling frozen yogurt (opened in April 2010) Duties include but are not limited to
: Setting up all business registrations with proper local and state agencies, fu
ll cycle accounting, banking/treasury and cash management, inventory tracking/re
porting, establishing all financial policies and procedures and making recommend
ations to Owner to mitigate overall business risks. Establishing all payroll an
d human resources policies procedures and performing day to day functions. Admi
nistrative support for the Store Manager.
