Reconciling Ministries Clergy (RMC)
RMC is comprised of persons called to ordained or pastoral ministry within The United Methodist
Church who summon the church to a deeper level of spiritual and theological integrity in relationship
to persons of all sexual orientations and gender identities and their full inclusion in all aspects of the
church’s life.
We believe, at this critical junction in our common history as United Methodists, that God has called
us to speak a clear word of love and inclusion concerning human sexuality.

The Parents Reconciling Network (PRN)

PRN is a coast-to-coast network of United Methodists who love and accept our
lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender children. We are working toward a church
that truly welcomes our offspring as full participants. As PRN, we:
• Establish support and discussion groups for parents of LGBT persons to pray
together
• Offer resources that are accurate and faith based for study
• Create a network for national communications using websites, newsletters
and RMN
• Insist that our denomination establish policies of welcome and equality in
both membership and ministry for all God’s children.

United Methodists of Color

for a Fully Inclusive Church (UMOC)
We stand prophetically as a people of color movement in the church, calling the
denomination to embrace the multicultural realities of our society and our world.
• We seek to create and support all communities that advocate for the dignity and
sacred worth of all of God’s creation.
• We are dedicated to bridging the movements to eradicate all forms of oppression
and discrimination in the church.
• We work to build a church that is anti-racist, anti-classist, anti-heterosexist, and
anti-colonialist.

MOSAIC
We are young adults and students who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and allies.
We affirm all sexual orientations and gender identities as gifts of God and work for the church’s full
inclusion of all persons. We are committed to:
• Strengthening relationships through providing opportunities for community and reconciliation
• Providing resources to assist United Methodist ministries as they work towards full inclusion
• Advocating for the full participation of all LGBT persons within the life and leadership of the
United Methodist Church

Transgender Extension Ministy

The Transgender Extension Ministry (TEM) challenges the United Methodist Church to
live into its visionary policy of being a church free from gender discrimination at every
level, equipping and empowering people to transform our church and society into places
that celebrate gender diversity. Embracing the God-given reality that from our genesis
we are created in God’s image, male and female, TEM understands gender diversity as a
divine gift. Accordingly, we particularly welcome, support, and advocate for those who
are transgender, gender variant, and otherwise transcend binary gender expectations.
