show you Microsoft Volume Licensing Information as shown in the following exhibit.

In the previous Report you will find some information that must be explained. You will
find just below some description about columns definition.

License Summary
The License Summary shows the estimated Volume License entitlements per each Microsoft product
family and version across all active and inactive Licensing IDs in your permission set.
The License Summary is a real-time calculation that:
- Applies all upgrade and maintenance-type licenses to full licenses acquired per Volume
License programs, including Enterprise, Select, Select Plus, Open Value, and Open License
programs.
- Uses licensing rules and product release dates to produce the most favorable License
Summary for the customer.

Effective Quantity
The effective quantity is the number of license entitlements per product and version after upgrades
have been applied. The effective quantity value allows you to determine whether your organization
has license shortfalls and/or surpluses by product and version.

Unresolved Quantity
An unresolved quantity appears when the number of upgrade licenses is greater than the underlying
qualifying full licenses. An unresolved quantity can occur when information concerning licensing
entitlements is incomplete.
Common reasons for an unresolved quantity include:

- OEM or retail purchases: Full licenses acquired through OEM or retail purchases are not
visible to Microsoft.
- Incomplete list of Licensing IDs in Relationship Summary: Full licenses acquired per Licensing
IDs that are missing from your Relationship Summary will not be included in your License
Summary.
- Unused coverage: Coverage-type licenses (e.g., Maintenance, Upgrade Advantage, and
Software Assurance) that are unused may be unresolved in terms of your full license
quantity.

Active SA (Software Assurance) Quantity

The active SA quantity is the number of licenses covered by Software Assurance (version upgrade
protection) across all Microsoft Volume License programs, including Enterprise, Select, Select Plus,
Open Value, and Open License programs.
The active SA quantity includes all types of Software Assurance, including:
- License and Software Assurance (L&SA)
