To Mercyhurst Student body and Faculty,
I would like to introduce myself to those
who do not already know me. I am running for
the office of MSG President of the 1988-89
school year. This is not a title or job I take
lightly. Before I committed myself to this
campaign, I sat back and looked at what
qualities and ideas I had to offer to the Mer-

First I would like tell you that I am not
going to dwell upon my high school accom-
plishments because we are not in high school
anymore. During my first two years at Mer-

My name is Christopher Mohr; and I am
running for the office of President of the
Mercyhurst Student Government
I am a junior at the 'Hurst and hold what
I believe to be the two essential elements for
this position - leadership and communication.
My leadership talents have already been ini-
tiated by my fellow teammates (soccer). I
have been named Captain for;next year's
team.
Recently, I changed my major from biol-
ogy to HRIM. The reason for this switch is to
better enhance my communication skills. I
enjoy people, interacting with them, working
with them,, and most importantly, helping
them in whatever way I can. These two skills
are mandatory for the office of president and
I would appreciate the opportunity to incor-
porate them into the Mercyhurst Community.
A lot of candidates will attempt to catch
your attention by relaying information of
their previous experiences. Sure, I have expe-
rience, but I believe the important issue is to
address my intent for the future, not to praise
my previous accomplishments.
